Huh? It's a terrible deal because most of what Iran gets is dependent on determining the fate of HEU in Iran, not because how it's signed lol
In which universe 440 kilograms of 60% HEU has no defensive or offensive value? Seriously?
Iran is not a geopolitical threat without nuclear deterrence. Iran is Syria 2.0 without nuclear deterrence. We couldn't even hold a ceremony for our Supreme Leader after several months because we have nearly zero defensive capabilities. Iran has no air force, no navy, almost no air defense, and trust me, if you think our air force is bad, you will be surprised to find out that our ground forces aren't any better either.
The only thing that keeps Iran safe from foreign intervention is our missile forces and we have already witnessed its limitations in TP1, TP2, TP3 and TP4. No need for more experiments about its limits.
The US also gets 60 days, just like us. Time is not on our side if the US says the blockade will remain in effect.
You talk like Russia's reason for not delivering Sukhoi-35s to Iran is money, which is baseless.

And what do you think that US can differently in 60 days that would change the equation?.
On the other side, if Russia doesn't deliver those fighters and if Islamic Republic falls, everybody knows that in Mehrabad will be stationed B21 in few years... Under the soft belly of Russian South Frontier.
Finally with 3.000 million dollars you can reinforce if not duplicate final assembly line to get them faster.

S-300 and HQ-9 are mobile. The perception of the lack of mobility is more of an Iranian deployment and doctrine issue than the platform itself ( and there is no reason to believe that Iran has the HQ-9 as China denied any weapons transfer were made btw). The reason why Iran's systems were ineffective is because they got destroyed early on in the war by drones, and UAV's and sabotage locally through special missions. Iran it seems(to me at least) did not build a layered defense around the S-300 of SHORADS, CIWS and ALBM to protect them.
Hopefully the lessons learnt from this war will help address the issues specific to protecting these high value assets so that they can then get the best value of range from these assets themselves.
India did try and go after the HQ-9s during SIndoor, and failed as an example ! ( Appreciate that Pakistan does not have the same problems that Iran faces !)

I think they figured that out in the first days of the war and deployed low cost home built 358 and 359 systems and they have had a great success with them
Its my personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt but i think these heatseeking homegrown lowcost air defence systems are what prompted trump to seek a settlement, hopefully they will build further on these systems and make their airspace a certain deathzone for any enemy aircraft.

somehow i doubt if that HEU is even inside Iran currently, i'm sure it was moved well before the strikes last year on the iranian nuc facilities......thanks to tipoffs from 'friends'
Then you also need proper delivery systems and warheads and safeguards for the N-missiles, which i don't believe iran has reached yet to have such capability, and i don't think they will get it anytime soon. The HEU needs to be beyond 90% while iran is not there yet, and they won't go further.
I see this conflict as a mere PAUSE at this time. It will restart when israel starts it and iran responds, depending on what israel does in Lebanon, and other countries in the mideast. Turkiye is a target on the list as well. Sooner or later. (it may piss the Turks on the forum but its coming and they best prepare). I wouldnt hold up too much hope on this war ending and/or ceasefire, as long as issrael exits and it has zionists like satanyabu as its leaders walking around freely.....

However, I still feel that israel was not damaged as much as iran's true capability was, it was still spared bigtime and it still stands. Not sure why, time will tell.

The 358 and 359 systems are an interesting concept and highlights some of Iran's local innovation that many air arms will look at more closely.

They are. But he means long range bulky radars while functioning are extremely vulnerable. US and Israel are using long range antiradiation missiles that can knock out easily those radars and render inoperable such systems. And I think he is right.

The problem is that Pakistan faced IAF which proven to be largely incompetent at every skirmish they launched, IAF is not a world class air force and doesn't possess any stealth aircraft
Iran is facing USAF and IDF at the same time with tremendous combat experience equipped with latest technologies
Every USAF/IDF aircraft Iran downed was with mobile systems such as Majid, proving USAF/IDF are vulnerable to ambushes and not big systems with huge radar like S-300 which gets instantly destroyed thanks to USAF intel capabilities

Remember Anduril Roadrunner It is just a copy of the Shaheds 358/9 concept. Just a microrreactor with a IR seeker to chase low speed targets like other drones and helicopters, so you're right many more will come.
