These remote islands have always been explored, settled temporarily as a fishing resting place by who knows how many fishermen from the past ancient time, even from the Portugese explorers in the early 1500s. There was never a permanent administration by any specific state until Viet Nam established a permanent administration in the early 1600s to 1974. By as late as the early 20th century, these islands were not even on the Chinese national map. You guys constantly invented the B.S that we inherited these islands from the French while we administered continously these islands since the 16th century and we temporarily lost control of these islands due to French colonialism, not inherited from the French ffs.

You are talking nonsense too just as many Vietnamese most times. PRC inherited what were claims and rights of ROC as PRC is the successor Chinese gov to ROC gov in China. Vietnam never objected China's claims for decades until 1970s.

Hmm..you funded the Khmer Rouge and enabling them to believe they can overrun southern Viet Nam. You provided them the weapons so they can launch countless cross border attacks in the 1970s with the Ba Chuc village massacre in 1977 really sealed the deal for us. I have been to the site of the Ba Chuc village massacre where 3000 human skulls piled up thanks to you Chinese. We invaded Cambodia to crush a genocidal regime but we never took any of their land. Stop with your Chinese inventions: there was never an ethnic cleansing of ethnic Chinese, they were ordered to take on Vietnamese citizenship or leave, plain and simple, there are still a bit over 1 million Chinese in Viet Nam nowadays. Don't deny the the historical facts. Vietnam invaded Cambodia, you left the country only because you were forced out by the international community. Just ask any Laotian about the 1980's, the Thai launched a military incursion into Laos in their quest to recapture Laotian territory lost during French colonial time. Vietnam never administered and claimed the islands until in the 1970s oil was discovered then it stole them. Even Vietnam gov before unification in 1975 openly admitted to China that those islands belong to China, then your gov changed its stance, how untrustworthy is Vietnamese gov, lol. Considering a possible war with China can happen over the Paracels and Spratly islands, we have prepared ourselves for this over the years. Our Flankers are most likely being used as the platform to launch a combined 140 antiship missiles in one salvo; add to that our armed drones each can also carry another 2 short-ranged anti-ship missiles. Our surface vessels can carry a combined over 200 antiship missiles and submarines can carry another 36 missiles. Add to the equation is our USV and UUSV sea drones. We can also reach the Paracels and Spratlys outposts with our LACM and ballistics missiles. All in all, you are looking at over 400 antiship missiles being launched at you from aircrafts, UAVs, surface vessels, and submarines. You are also looking at an unknown number of USV, UUSV, LACM, BM launch at your ships or the island outposts. And who knows, maybe in a few years our locally developed submarines each can launch 6 antiship missiles to add to the punch. Not having a few squadron of Su57 doesn't mean we don't have any other military means to counter your threat ..effectively.

to beign with, none of the current VAF fighter jet is up to date, all would drop like flies even meeting with J-10C, J-11BG, there is zero AEW&C in VAF service, zero ISTAR aircraft, zero EW aircraft/jet, the list goes on forever.
