Viet Nam administered continously both island chains from the 1600s to 1974; that's close to 400 years. Where were China, you never voiced your objection, that's a clear sign you know those islands aren't yours. Even as early as the 20th century, pretty much ALL of your national map never shown those 2 island chains. As matter of fact, Vietnam didn't even exist at that time, your king had to ask Chinese emperor in the Qing dynasty in 18th century to give your country the current name Viet Nam(越南）。
