Mostly FPVs, as far as I know. I don't know if they fired 20+ drone per day, but they did have some good hits like on those American helicopters and radar in Iraq. Did they kill any American or Israeli soldier though? I doubt that.Iraqis did a LOT, relative to their size. 20+ drone strikes every day. and from day one, zero hesitation.
a lot of the hits in KSA were from Iraqi drones.
Anyway, the question is, was it really worth it? We have spent billions of dollars on these groups in the last 20-30 years. We could've spent this money elsewhere and achieved more in terms of military objectives. We could've fired drones from Khuzestan and achieved similar results with a fraction of that cost. Israel hired agents deep inside Iran in places like Isfahan and Tehran for a fraction of that cost.
As we have repeatedly discussed it before, we spent 50 billion USD in Syria to save Assad, who eventually escaped to Moscow with his family and handed over the country to Golani. We could've fully modernized the IRIAF and the IRIN with that sort of money. We could've spent that money on air defense and add several layers of long range systems. The IRIAF was the most successful force of us in the Ramadhan war if we judge them by the number of Americans they killed in a single strike, and they flew ancient airframes.
