im honestly astonished and shocked that afghanistan is attacking pakistan and issuing threats through official outlets and pakistani gov, defence ministry or military is silent.

This is because taliban ideologues had hijacked KP and were using it as their strategic depth ironically.

KP was fully in bed with the talibs, millions and millions of afghan refugees as their foot soldiers. Ethno fascist Pakistanis as their foot soldiers. Thats why every major city was being attacked.

Similar to what the Iranian proxies did recently in gilgit and Karachi when the Iran war began.

Unfortunately Pakistan has an unlimited supply of namak harams and self saboteurs. Not many patriots.

What should have happened is Pakistan joining the invasion of Afghanistan with NATO, firmly positioning itself in the war and operating on KP to remove all trace of taliban. It would have been a bloody bloody war but this threat on the western front would no longer exist and talibanistic afghaniat ideology would have been crushed forever and replaced with progressive and peaceful pakistanyat.
