I'd like a source for dat data. I live here and I know the entire community in Aichi prefecture and I never heard anybody getting in trouble with the law here over the last decade I been here.

Japan is hardly known for being welcoming to Islam. The resistance is not only from fringe groups, it seems to be the norm socially and institutionally.

So why would Muslims want to settle in a country where they are clearly not wanted or accepted?

That Jap gubment statistics site I posted quotes that 43k foreigners currently incarcerated in Japan jails as of today. They refuse to give a breakdown based on nationality, due to that being sensitive info.

Some semblance of the breakdown on nationality has been released but due to low numbers of Indians or Pakistani here, their crime statistics mirror their low populations here.

I bet you any maany that out of those 43k incarcerated, there will only be a handful of Indians or Pakistan nationals and even those will be in jail mostly due to immigration law violations.

Indians can definitely be loud and obnoxious at times and this is what rapid upward mobility within a single generation looks like. Hopefully, the next generation picks up better social awareness and behaviour.

Here in Japan, only 30k Pakistani. Most stay busy exporting cars to Karachi. Not seen in public much. Keep away from tourist traps/ pubs/ bars/ casino's/ brothels etc.

Very few reports of criminal behavior over the years.

Indians/ Chinese/ Vietnamese migrants have shown absolutely disgusting and far far worse and criminal/ deplorable behavior in Japan.

Indians done petty theft and haggling behavior/ fraud/ pissing in public ets, but the Chinese/ Viets are into auto theft and robberies and far worse activities around here.

Indians are just laughable gypsy people like this dude......they just get dismissed after being chuckled at for being goofy:

Good to know the Pakistani community there know how to fit in. Probably by now, most of the long term residents are very fluent in Japanese and abide by social norms (while not losing their own identity).

Hopefully we don’t have any severely socially irresponsible Pakistani go to Japan. But if they do, I would hope the community there sides with Japan to protect the image of their own community there.

For Indians, many are getting out of India these days without any civic sense, and have tarnished the image built by earlier arrivals over many many decades.
