Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

In other words — you have a "problem" with adult citizens (18+) of Pakistan exercising their democratic rights — but no problem at all with a military establishment repeatedly imposing their will by taking away that inalienable right from the people for the past 70+ years? 🙄
What has been achieved with these democratic rights that you speak of?

Corruption, nepotism, inefficiency, siphoning of public funds, but worst of all - incompetence in public office.

Now that last trait has been demonstrated by a number of democratically elected leaders in Pakistan, of which Khan is the WORST case. Granted, he may have been poorly advised, but any educated and rational Pakistani would have been rolling their eyes (yes, like you do every other post) at his litany of diplomatic mis-steps during his term in office. Embarrassment after embarrassment, whether he was busy meeting Vlad or shunning the Saudis. Many of us had enough semblance of shame to balk at his tomfoolery. I wonder why you and your ilk saw fit to forgive the clownery just because he was handsome enough to draw a smile from Melania?!

The nation was left scrambling to defend his embarrassments while he marched ever onwards in his egotistical state of delusion.

With even a semi-competent global representative (and this is despite all my loathing of patwaris and the Sharifs and Bhuttos), such clownery can be averted and our officials can worry less about "diplomatic damage control" and instead actually get on with their jobs.

Yes, Pakistan needs to be controlled by a benevolent, non-egotistical, functional dictatorship. To hell with the demagoguery and jhalsas of the last three decades.

He even alienated the Chinese. The Chinese! No wonder the Indians love him so much. As to the Americans, I have said a lot about the war mongering machine in Washington, DC but I also know the importance of trade with America and its European allies to Pakistan's economy. Imran's dumb, cultists should study the impact of some real American sanctions on Pakistan. But then many of them are expats in their comfortable Western bubbles. Like their Messiah Khan, they couldn't care less for Pakistan.

The main problem with this approach is that you want Chinese kind of "functional" dictatorship which sets the country's best interests before anything else:

Instead, you ended up with a completely non-functional military dictatorship in Pakistan which sets its own self-interests before anything else:
