When I think of "hard core strategy game," I think of the Civilization series.

When I think of hardcore real-time tactics games, I think of the Commandos series or the Desperados series.

2001? That's relatively new.

In my time, Doom, Dave, Wolfenstein, & Graham Gooch Cricket were the craze, although by the time I got my PC, things had moved ahead a bit. But still got hands on with these games at my cousin's place and at school.

i dont like this era of owning nothing but that is the reality of the world we live in.

If there is a film I like, I will buy it on 4k BLuray, recently I purchase Kingdom of Heaven "Directors Cut" in 4k UHD because it is a beautiful film I will watch many times and I can't chase which streaming service it has moved to when I want to watch it.

So far, all my PS5 games have been physical.

When I think about it, I dont think I have ever purchased a pure digital asset be it video or music !

I pay for Netflix etc.

Every single one of those games had patches which i had to download 2-3 times to ensure I continue to play.

Worst is FC26 with one patch a month since I purchases it in Dec 2025.

I bought the Ps5 in 2024 in anticipation of GTA6
With the current American/ Canadian prices , i think i will wait for the price to inevitably go down to like 40 USD before making the purchase

I am quite interested in GTA, but stopped playing any of them after GTA4 because they were taking over all my time. I shan't be playing this one either!

This is why I stopped playing story type of games, 12 hours go flying pass. Recently I played Wrestling, Ufc, Boxing. I loved Red Dead Redemption, great game, Assasin creed was good too.
