Old Man's Corners

Can really use a reference guide like this one.

Midnight has been sitting comfortably in my back bedroom for the past few hours. I am not doing too bad in the front room myself.

Poor kitten was in incredible pain for hours before I found him last night. He couldn't stay still or stop crying.

Gave him a really good contact high today from some weed I got from a Native Medicine Man.

That's for when nicotine doesn't cut it.

Update: Both Midnight and I laying down on the bed. He jumped up and laid himself next to my head.

Pain coming back. Smart kitten. Knows how he is getting some relief.

Think we will be out of the danger zone in 48 hours.

We finally got some sleep. Just woke up to Midnight giving me kitty kisses on my face. 😆

Still waiting and watching. Keeping his eyes clean. If no set backs, believe this kitten will get through this.

"Third eyelid" for his right eye retracted, Midnight trying to look with his right eye, and I am just beginning to get a better look at what we are dealing with.

Keeping Midnight's eyes clean and moist. Flash from camera is why his eyes are closed.

This kitten is going to be a good one. Figured out where he came from, and who is his father - Ivan.IMG_20260630_154256895.jpg

Gave the little feller almost two days of peace and comfort, but unfortunately he will not make it.

Now blind in both eyes.

As an added twist, I think the real father cat showed up. Left Midnight on the porch and went inside. Midnight gone, other cat gone.

Have to look out for my cats. Ivan and the other black cat were almost about to fight. Do not need another injured cat.

Do a search on cat caves. Lots of them.

Places where cats go to die.

Really fascinating, especially when the crawl space underneath my 100-year old house is loaded with cat skulls and bones.

Very likely Midnight is underneath this evening, waiting to die. That six week old kitten loved me with his whole heart, knowing it's the end.

And the only spot in my house he would go to is my back bedroom, above the area where the cat skulls are.

Sorry to hear that, bro'. Losing an animal is tough. Especially a little one that only wanted a chance.
