It's only a matter of time before France scores one. Paraguay is a long way from being able to generate any real danger, but they're defending well

The midfield, which is often where games are won and lost, is very underwhelming, though. Compared to the Kanté-Matuidi-Pogba midfield of 2018, it is a bit of a joke. Griezmann also often tracked back and played as 10 (4th midfielder) to create nummerical advantage. Not to mention his creativity and hard work. He is a big miss in this regard.

Tchouaméni is also missing today due to injury, which is not helping.

Mbappé completely messed up a good chance right there.
 
This entire game has been about French players making good plays in opposition end only for Rabiot to shoot the ball anywhere but towards the Goal

How the hell has there only been one yellow card in this game, and why has FIFA chosen an Uzbek referee, of all people? He has no authority, and Paraguay has committed numerous brutal fouls without receiving a single yellow card.

Doue had made a difference to France's attack since he came on. It's as though France were playing with just that little bit more Desire.
