Absolutely. The Americans cannot accept Iran controlling the Strait. Just like the nukes, the Strait has become a non-negotiable.

Trump is in a difficult position. He is desperately looking for a quick win before the mid term elections. He isn't going to get any.

On the other hand, Iran's anointed Supreme Leader Khamenei Jr continues to hide for more 4 months in his own country.

What does that tell us about IRGC's warnings and threats to attack the US?

sure, but it is not an equal relationship. one is dependent on the other. each contributes different things. Iran gives them weapons and funds and in return it asks that they use those weapons in ways that help Iran when the time comes. Yemenis are free to reject these terms if they wish.
