We no longer build K-8s. And even when we did, it was just 25% of the sub-assemblies, the final assembly was done in China.

I'm not kidding, but I'd legit keep an eye on Leonardo in re: the PAF's trainer space right now, both for LIFT and FCU/AJT via M346 and M345, respectively.

Lack of money as always. The need to maintain frontline operational capability that is militarily relevant against India, versus all the other demands for money.
