PAF J-10CE News Updates and Discussions part ll

What type of K-8 is that?

The K-8 that we have (among other Nations) is the Hongdu JL-8. That is a tiny Trainer.

Could you kindly share a picture of this K-8.
he included the pic of the J-10AS to show its not that.

Well, IMO just the regular K-8 or JL-8 in PLA service:

The rear pilot's cockpit arrangement or cover of it look almost the same!

Why do you think it should be something larger than the indeed tiny K-8?

Sorry, its just that I had noticed that you were replying/responding to another Member & telling him that the image he posted was a K-8.

And then you posted (a close up) image of a J-10AS & that is where I got a bit confused.

My bad.

Speaking of which..., was there ever a J-10c (dual seat variant) considered?

I know the PLAAF doesn't require such a jet as they've already got the J-15, but one would have imagined that since China is constantly trying to market the J-10 for Export, they would have a Dual-Seat Variant.

It is not that simple... the condition of our roads isn't ideal and FOD is a major concern. Can't compare with Sweden. Also, every base has at least 2 runway surfaces and it's not possible for IAF to take out all of them simultaneously. Contingencies of runway blockage or unavailability are practiced regularly to mitigate this strategic depth issue.
I believe PAF should have constructed a third parallel runway at Bholari since there is enough land available. The base is large and smack in the middle of many bases so it would be more available for aircraft to divert there when needed.

I think that is due to limited resources.

Their is no such thing as limited resources.....when it is needed resources are made available.
Its all about priorities, responsibilities, honesty and last but not foresight/intelligence.
These basta$ds waste billions on frivolous things n then do the randi rona about lack of resources.
Pakistan is not a poor country by any stretch of imagination, it is a poorly managed/governed country by an endless line of theifs

it seems to be an upgraded version , look at HUD in both the cockpits. it also seems to have a new modified HUD.

Its K8. I know the pilot and have met him a few times.

Oh come on, how is building a third parallel runway at an already operational base a resource issue?? Pasni has been built into a full fledged FOB from a small civil airport. FOB Qadri(Skardu) has been fully upgraded with a parallel taxi track/runway and the old civil airport is abandoned. Also a new runway has been constructed at Risalpur.....🤔🤔🤔
