Egypt vs Argentina, referee and FIFA
First image: a slight touch from the Egypt defender on Lisandro Martínez. That play led to the Africans’ goal.
VAR reviewed it and decided to rule it out for a foul.
Second image: a slight touch from Julián Álvarez on Salah. It was inside the box. VAR decided not to call it.
Same fouls, different standards.

I knew this cht head was ungrateful. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't try (which it looked like he didn't) just to make some anti Orangeman point.
Why is fifa sanctioning Egypt ?Lol they say fifa is about to sanction Egypt because of that match haha what a fuken shit organization that is.
Egypt should sanction it , we host the CAF headquarter and all african countries follow us , imagine if all africa refused to participate in the world cup
Because how the crew protested against the referee during the match and probably how our coach raised the palestinian flag .. crazy isn't it ?Why is fifa sanctioning Egypt ?
In your opinion, did Egypt play well enough to win that match?Till this moment I can't believe the robbery that happened during Egypt vs arg match ... I can't believe this BS till now.
The only way to balance this is for Egypt to announce the they will quit FIFA, ban the organization in Egypt, and start its own. Clearly make it a case of rigging the outcome of a game. If they don't, then this tells me Egypt is either too weak, or was in on it too.Till this moment I can't believe the robbery that happened during Egypt vs arg match ... The match would have changed 100% if Zico goal got accepted by VAR , it was 100% correct goal , no errors , we had bad defense tho but that wouldnt have let us lose the match. In your opinion, did Egypt play well enough to win that match?
To me, it seemed as though Egypt were bound to lose that match due to a capitulation and bad game management - yes there were clear errors from VAR that benefited Argentina. However, I still feel Egypt would have lost, either in normal time or extra time. Maybe penalties would have created a 50:50 scenario if Egypt held out long enough. I think Egypt will come back stronger next tournament, so why such consternation over VAR this time round? It causes controversy every single week in various leagues.
By the way, citing CAF as some bastion of sporting integrity from which you may resist the evil tentacles of FIFA is a bit ironic - I doubt Senegal share that sentiment.
Pointless. The only way to balance this is for Egypt to announce the they will quit FIFA, ban the organization in Egypt, and start its own. Clearly make it a case of rigging the outcome of a game. If they don't, then this tells me Egypt is either too weak, or was in on it too.
I think Zico's disallowed goal was made irrelevant as Egypt scored soon after anyway. Egypt had a 2-0 lead either way. My point is that Egypt could not protect that lead, as we saw.The match would have changed 100% if Zico goal got accepted by VAR , it was 100% correct goal , no errors , we had bad defense tho but that wouldnt have let us lose the match.
CAF is better than Fifa by miles .. you probably talk about senegal vs morocco final match ? senegal clearly won and the case is still in court.
Pointless.
Let nature take its course.
Argentina is a dying football nation. Without Messi, they have little to offer and may go the same way as Brazil. England are favourites against them tomorrow. Africa and African descended European players are actually the future of this sport. Egypt simply needs to capitalise on that momentum by having a post-Salah succession plan in place.
