Israel never formally applied for NATO. However it does not matter if they are member or not. Israel is always major non-NATO member of the western alliance. and it will always remain so.

I am sorry, you are right. They didnt applied for membership, but for joining the summits as a non-member dialogue partner.

That's not correct. Article 10 precludes that. It would require a change to the Treaty. So at best, Israel will remain a non-member partner.

Yeah, Turks had hoped to stay neutral. But when you got the Russian soviet union at the peak of her powers with a population of 400 million threatening war against a nation of 20 million and little industry, it doesnt really leave much choice.

Yes i had to correct myself. They never formally applied for a membership, only by lipservice (Liebermann in 2006 during the Hezbollah war).

But Turkey did reject their apply for NATO joint trainining excercises and NATO summits many times.
