yeah, but Shahed-136 drones can be launched from anywhere in the country and reach the islands. is the US going to fly 24/7 patrols over the islands to intercept these drones? what about the missiles, which can also be launched from deep inside Iran?

Im sure US is aware of that just like you, me and many others are aware. If they are still pushing it, it means they have something else going on as well.. some sort of element of surprise like last year in 12 day war.

The Saudi civil defense early on Saturday issued two early warnings for Al-Kharj city and Yanbu to be alert to “potential danger,” but it later says the danger has passed in both areas, without providing details on the danger that triggered the warnings.

1.) US attacking some bridges in Iran and reports of some power plants being targeted

2.) Iran closing Strait of Hormuz again

The talk by Trump of massive upcoming strikes seems to be a nothing burger until we see US allies in region participate in war and commit themselves as staging ground for larger action which there are not signs of for now

Looks like two big developments:

1.) US attacking some bridges in Iran and reports of some power plants being targeted

2.) Iran closing Strait of Hormuz again

The talk by Trump of massive upcoming strikes seems to be a nothing burger until we see US allies in region participate in war and commit themselves as staging ground for larger action which there are not signs of for now

So far no power plants are truly been hit because we would see news reporters the next day or satellite photos or massive smoke rising.

What I think is more likely is that during these bombings, it’s causing powerlines to be impacted and causing short term power outages.

Trump has yet to hit power plants or energy facilities. In fact during the war nearly all such attacks were done by Israel or UAE.
