We've Been Lied to about America....[World Cup] Foreigners 1st Time to USA

I can't take no mas of this a** kissing by the Euros it is weakening me like kryptonite to the point I want them to stay and live here forever and ever.... please no more.

Americans will go down in history as the worst host to accommodate the world cup.
Disrespected officials and humiliated them by not issuing visas to appointed officials.
Delaying visas for players especially Iran.
Embarrassing the Egyptian team at airports.
Cheating using scum Trump to overturn a red card and still getting thumped.
Pretending its the most attended WC - when in fact its got the most teams ever entered so naturally going to have the most attendance.
Worst VAR decisions - literally cheating.
No this has to go down as the poorest world cup ever.
Americans need to stop polishing a turd coz it will still be a turd after.
Dread the scene tonight when Trump will turn up and behave like god at the presentation.

That's not our fault that it got extended.

But besides prior to 2026 we ALREADY held the previous record attendance since way back in 1994 (30+ years ago!!) when it was only 24 teams.:unsure::unsure:

FIFA’s digital and social media channels received an astonishing 34 billion impressions and 2 billion engagements until the end of the quarter-finals. Until just the conclusion of the round of 16, 5.2 billion people – nearly two-thirds of the planet’s population – are estimated to have engaged at least once with the tournament.

US games average attendance is over 69,000, so it is indeed the highest attended.

This is the greatest World Cup in history

Look at all the people in this stadium

Maybe I should add the standard "we-saved-the-world" tagline used by certain other PDF members:
pump-chest-spongebob.gif

"Listen...the World Cup was nothing until a big population like the US came onto the scene and gave it the viewership and attendance needed to keep it in business...in fact it wasn't even really considered 'modern' until a country like the US hosted it"

Perhaps in your mindset. Those that regard football as their premier sport - its been a shit show. European African and the rest of the world united. The only thing USA has done is unite the rest of the world

Let's be real here

First of all, I can go to North Korea and have good things to say about it, but that does not mean I would want to "live" in North Korea. A tourist goes to a place and then leaves in a couple of days or weeks, once you have done so, you are immune to all the societal problem there were in that country. I lived in the US for over 20 years, and I have lived in Australia roughly the same amount of time. I would say both country have their own problem, and unless you start to realise and understand them, it will never get better

And then I remember a couple of years ago when I was agreeing to some of your posts lamenting the Chinese members posting glorified news of their country as being inferior complex, weren't you doing the same things here? If people are wrong about it, I don't need someone to tell me they are wrong, because I know they are wrong. When people say you are wrong, and then you post something about "XYZ being lied to" that does not actually reinforce your point, that actually makes you lose credibility because you are doing exactly what people accuse "Wumao" of doing........

yes, see #160

now back to work...

More foreigners finding more truths about the US...since they were lied to.

I feel sorry for those backward foreigners!!!...not knowing all the conveniences the US takes for granted...but hey we are the ones living in the 21st Century!!!

We are in the future!

The experience of a lifetime.. I absolutely adore the USA ❤️🇺🇸

oh the lies and misconceptions...

American supermarkets are in the future!

Flying in America is like living in the future

The American air force blew my mind

Americans don’t keep their washing machine in the kitchen??

You can’t do this in the UK

Driving through neighbourhoods like this in Florida... it's hard not to imagine what life would be like. 🇺🇸
The tree-lined streets. The beautiful homes. The sense of space.
As a Brit, it's something that really stood out to me.
I know every state is different, but moments like this made me understand why so many people love living in America.

America... one thing I still can't get over is the size of your houses. 🇺🇸
Compared to the UK, they just feel enormous.
When we were in Florida, I couldn't believe how much house you get for your money.
Then I came back to Britain... and this is what the same kind of money can buy here. 🤯

It might have been the most attended but it was not a great tournament.

Mostly Fifas fault tbh.

Why?
1. Water/advert breaks
2. A halftime show?! Fk off.
3. Rampant corruption in support of Argentina especially.

Your govt had its part to play too.

4. Your president having a red card over turned AND boasting about it.
5. Racism against African and Muslim teams and officials by border control/security.

It wasn't the worst tournament in terms of football, especially in the knock out rounds.

I think most people who attended really enjoyed the experience.

Ultimately though it's all subjective. For me having to watch the matches late at night meant I missed a lot of games. The ad breaks and half time nonsense is part of your culture. Everyone in the UK was bemused.
