Keep an eye on this: đź‘€
RIYADH —
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received separate phone calls from Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty.

During the calls, the ministers reviewed the latest regional developments and discussed ways to strengthen coordination and consultation in support of diplomatic efforts aimed at containing the escalation and addressing regional challenges.

The discussions also focused on advancing joint interests and supporting efforts to enhance security and stability across the region.

What they can and can't afford is not up for debate here, I was replying to your rather simplified comment regarding Saudia Arabia which is a partner for Pakistan since our independence.

Let's learn to look at things from both sides of the coin. I would rather not make this a thread about Yemen and Saudi interventions there. There is a good timeline provided by the Arabic Studies Center, Washington. You can read it up here:

Discussing Saudi foreign policy is beyond the remit of the title of this thread, we will just end up deviating and start sharing nonsensical history lessons.
Yes without a doubt Saudi Arabia has been a long-standing and trusted friend of Pakistan.

I know, so Haritzem Air Base is nice and quiet and Pakistanis cannot reach or leave Bahrain due to Iran now taking out it's civilian air control.
In principle , Iran should have been retaliating against the American homeland. They obviously don't have the capacity to do that. So, they are doing what they can to maximise the economic and local and international political costs for the US and its allies. Civilian infrastructure and shipping will be collateral damage.

Just remember, this word "collateral damage" it works both ways my friend.

It's remarkable how Pakistanis become experts on warfare and inevitability of collateral damage but cry like little girls when its their own country having to strike terrorists that produces collateral. If it isn't a case of an inferiority complex rooted in self-hatred, then what is?

They are in the Iran thread cheering it on but crying at Pakistani strikes in Afghanistan!

Nope, when it is our country Pakistan hits back, the point @RescueRanger was making is that once Iran suffers more civilian damage it can hardly take the moral high ground

That's also what I was saying, I edited it to make it clearer.

The same people in the Iran thread are preaching how collaterial can't be avoided but complain about our strikes in Afghanistan or TTP, the shameless double standards against their own country are disgusting

100% bro, and when you call it out they lose their shit, even the Mod

They give us lectures on Islam for hitting targets that want to murder us then in the name of Allah strike every Muslim nation in their vicinity's civil infrastructure and blockade them

This is it, in the first round I was 100% with Iran and respected how bravely they fought against Israel and US military targets. now they are targeting civilians in the two smallest countries (Bahrain and Kuwait) as it is the easiest option for them.

You think if they pulled this shit on Pakistan there would be a government building still standing in Tehran?

Comparing India to Iran is pathetic. Those neighbouring countries allowing their bases to be used to attack Iran are asking for it - simple.
Once again - Iran hasnt got exclusivity to fanatic in the region. e know others that sponsor terror groups that go under the radar so lets not be selective he?
Yes, but why are the GCC states under threat in the first place?

Just because the non-Arab state of Iran chose to place the Pasdaran-e Inqilab (IRGC) at the centre of its foreign policy doesn't mean the rest of the Arab world should be forced to live under its revolutionary agenda.

After being labelled part of the "Axis of Evil" in 2002, Tehran doubled down on exporting its revolution rather than reforming its behaviour. Instead of focusing on developing Iran, it invested heavily in building armed proxies and extending its influence across the Middle East, leaving several Arab countries to bear the consequences.

In my view, Iran's strategy was straightforward: keep the region in perpetual instability so that the United States remained tied down abroad, making a direct campaign against Iran far more costly. The Arab world became the battlefield, while Tehran sought strategic depth at everyone else's expense.

(It could have followed the North Korean model of isolation and deterrence. Instead, it pursued regional confrontation and, in my view, repeatedly placed countries such as Pakistan in difficult strategic positions.)

President Donald Trump ultimately adopted a policy of confronting what his administration viewed as Iran's decades-long brinkmanship, arguing that Tehran had been pushing the limits without paying a sufficient price.

From the perspective of many in the Muslim world, Iran spent nearly five decades chanting "Death to America," repeatedly threatening Israel, and supporting armed groups across the region. Yet whenever tensions escalate, it expects other Muslim nations to absorb the economic, political, and security costs of the confrontation.

Pakistan, the GCC states, and the wider Muslim world have no obligation to underwrite the consequences of policies they neither chose nor supported.

Are all these Iran suckers out of their mind? Iranians have a war with Israel and America. Israelis, who actually started this war in the first place by attacking Iran and killing its leadership, are watching Iran getting hammered by Americans. Israel is providing active support to the US forces in these attacks. And yet, these retard Iranians are attacking Gulfi Muslims with silly and retarded claims. These fools have no balls to send their missiles on to Israel or attacking directly Americans. I am just trying to expose the lies and hypocrisy of Iranian mullahs, for which Iranians are notoriously infamous, during this war.

The stupidity of Iranians is quite evident from their reckless actions against the global trade. Iran was already a pariah state for international community since 1979. Now Iranians maliciously trying to choke the whole world in their fight against America? Will Chinese, Europeans, Japanese, and rest of the world allow these fanatic Iranian mullahs to play with the national interests of all other countries?

I think Iran will end up to be in a worse position than just being a pariah and rogue state. International community would rather prefer to put this rogue state into a hell hole rather than allowing them to become a grave threat to the global trade and international peace and security. The terrorist Irani proxies in Syria and Lebanon have already been largely neutralized and I am sure Yemeni Houthis are the next in line.
