Image was already debunked in this very thread a while back. That's a J-10CE cockpit. And no avic hasn't released any images of any PAF pilot within the J-35 cockpit

Because they have/are making diplomatic overtures to China for that. Including pressure from UAE to stop the sale to Pakistan or at least delay it until India is no longer royally screwed from having ANY answer to it.

If your not willing to sell it to your closest military customer or to delay the sale, then there is not much point trying to market the plane for export. Although its not clear to me how much China cares about making money from military sales.

They are focused on their interests and business profits first and foremost - all countries are and nothing to be offended about.

UAE has signed in for the J-35 - and in larger quantities with cash in hand instead of Pakistani soft loans and other approaches.

They are openly(some say voluntarily) not interested in having Pakistan get any further military equipment from any source. my hypothesis (happy to be corrected) is thatey are now an unfriendly country similar to how Egypt occasionally has been in preference for India but perhaps more so now along the lines of fully supporting India barring providing their own military.

Unfortunately, since the entire ruling class incl those in and out of uniform have massive financial interests mostly at personal (but some even institutional) level they are willing to eventually shrug and take the hit
 
If the Bharati folks get into such a panic mode even without a single J-35 at the hand of PAF, what'll they do when they actually arrive? Will they disband the IAF, which any way fails all the time? Don't they have any faith in their own capability?

Yes. All countries have their national interests, but I do think you are doing the Chinese a big disservice to think they are so easily swayed by the likes of the UAE with regards to Pakistan. The nature of the relationship is deeper between the two to be influenced by the UAE..

I do agree with the assessment of UAE, ergo scumbags..

The sale to the UAE wont be straight forward, they have military alliance with Israel (do the Chinese want the Israel's snooping) add uncle Sam wont be happy either. Buying drones, some air defence system sure, but a 5th Gen fighter is a very big leap. Also the UAE as far as I can tell dont have a complete integrated system to maximise the J35, maybe if the purchase does happen that will change.

My own personal feeling is the Chinese are not in a rush for making lots of money on military sales so will make moves which strategically benefit them.

I am not doing them any disservice nor to Pakistan in stating interests and calculations tied to those interests.

China is very focused on military sales as it is now getting enough proof of effectiveness that demand is high - but also that while special, the relationship between Pakistan and China is still metric based and transactional (goodwill and trust are also currency) for both states regardless of individual understanding at Pakistani cabinet, military leadership or plain citizen level
