Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Time is running out for Iran , Hezbollah and Houthise... they were given opportunities and face savings to come to their senses and accept the ground realities ....alas , their arrogance and hubris got better of them...
A situation needs to be created where both the US and Iran have limited room to maneuver and coke back to the table to talk.

Our bête noir UAE.

Really? You want the three piece suit reaction or the chaddi banyan version of what I think of it?

I guess it's probably appropriate to your chosen avatar of mythbusters. So I will take it, and No, UAE has not achieved any such thing if pinpoint accuracy of portable strategic targets can be achieved by a country who just went through a decapitation strike.

Apart from the Kingdom of Sauds, there's no functional state in the middle east.

As usual you are going off on a tangent... what are you expecting from a country with small population of 1.5 million ? Conquer Iran ?..... UAE is way ahead of Saudi Arabia on all metrics, it's an efficiently run state with increasingly well educated populace... it's gradually liberating it's citizens from the traditional " baggage" .

Yemen’s Houthis claim attacks on Saudi oil tankers in Red Sea

Yemen’s Houthis say they carried out missile and drone strikes on two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea after declaring a maritime embargo on the kingdom.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the Houthis said that they “carried out a qualitative military operation targeting two Saudi oil tankers that violated the blockade”, naming the vessels as the Encelia and the Layla.

As we reported earlier, the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations centre said that it had received reports of a tanker being struck 70 nautical miles (130km) from Saudi Arabia’s town of Al Shuqaiq.

The Houthis announced a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia earlier this week.
