Don't worry two Chinese vessels are currently navigating the Bab-el-Mandeb to exit the red sea from Saudi port. Let's see how tightly the Houthis control this blockade and wait and see the diplomatic fallout if those Chinese ships get targeted.

I think pakistan is actually doomed in both scenarios , whether we attack houthis or don't, and even without pact with ksa it would still be necessary for Pak to open the passage for oil supplies. Like all things, bottom line is the economy , if we were not beggars , and have enough forex and atleast 6 month storage of fuel supplies we wouldn't have to go through these hard choices. But as the visionary leader said" beggars can't be choosers". All else is just political rhetoric and point scoring. We need to get our house in order financially whether it's by democracy or martial law or hybrid or else there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s been busy nights and days [in the Gulf] in the past 12 consecutive nights of US attacks.

Iran’s formula is pretty straight. They’ve laid it out, saying, “Eye for an eye”, after the US president said that his forces are going to attack an Iranian bridge or a power plant every time a ship gets attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran says they’re going to play it the same way.

We’ve seen these attacks continue across GCC countries, namely Kuwait and Bahrain, in the past 12 days, and also Jordan. On Wednesday, Jordan’s military said that it shot down four missiles, and Kuwait was also attacked.

So, in all these days, we’ve seen the GCC countries come under attack for a war they did not start, for a war they say they do not support, and if at all, are making efforts to bring back the ceasefire.

The latest on that is we’ve had Qatar, Pakistan and Egypt propose a 10-day ceasefire between Washington and Tehran, so that this does not widen into a regional conflict.

Circular debt is a cancer which is keep grown over last 20 years, thanks to MUsh's CNG revolution.. Its like a domino effect, from 100 billion to 5000 billion in 20 years, we are doomed if we dont do anything about it.

Wishful thinking. Houthis will continue the blockade regardless. If they can withstand USAF/USN bombing phir Saudi Air Force kis khayt ki mooli?

The US did not play to win in Yemen. An open-ended bombing campaign wont yeild any results against the Houthis, who are entrenched in mountains.

A more serious response would involve sustained, multinational maritime pressure. Hodeidah Port is lifeline. Yemen imports roughly 90% of its food, so a complete naval siege would bring the Houthi militia to its knees.

Houthis lacks a modern conventional anti-submarine fleet, so we may employee our Submarines to pick out their tankers and supply vessels without detection or an answer.

Correct, but you never know, they may have itchy fingers and suddenly an "unknown projectile" decides to hit the bow of the ship... There are two angles here right, the Saudi intervention inside Yemen which is a problem but the blockade which is a headache for the world, and Pakistan is not immune from this headache.

Sadly no one actually wants peace/Ceasefire...Israil, Iran, US not even moarchs of GCC... This battle/war has become existential for local parties, US whole concern is about israil otherwise they would have walked out..

I think this will be a prolong war with multiple failed ceasefires until US/Israil gets success in toppling Revolutionary guys from Governance or something else with rare chances..

Personally, if it were at all possible, I would prefer if our government did not engage in this conflict, thankfully many inside Pakistan govt. support this view, the reason is simple - a protracted conflict involving multiple Muslim nations fighting other muslin nations only plays into the hands of enemies who are waiting for this to happen.

Israel has been the biggest net gainer in all of this... They have already achieved 80% of their objectives.

Policy of siege wont work.. saudis laid out a siege for qatar, eventually failed... Houthis will keep firing missiles from here and there on Saudi oil sector, even with 10% success rate they will keep taking out energy sector of KSA, few years ago their cheap drones took out half of saudi supply for 10 days..s.

Yemen has same terrain as Afghanistan, more warmer only.. nothing will work there..
