If not selling oil where Putin gets the money to pay for imports? Nobody will accept worthless rubles. Russia army will increase the size to 1.5 million soldiers. Just to pay them it will cost $54 billion USD per year.

Russia has slave labor. Slaves make drones for free. Russia don't need to export oil to make tanks. Ukraine also has slave labor. Ukraine makes drones for free, except the only difference is Ukraine don't make microchips like Russia does and has to import microchips from the West which is expensive.

Russia has a lot of factories in the far east.
In Sakhalin they make drones which is out of range of Ukraine's long range drones. Sakhalin has no road to the outside world. Very safe to make drones.
In Kamchatka they make drones which is out of range of Ukraine's long range drones. Kamchatka has no road to the outside world. Very safe to make drones.

In 1941 when Germany invaded Russia the factories were moved to Ural. Because Ukraine's long range drones can reach Ural they moved factories east to Sakhalin and Kamchatka which are 7,000 km from Ukraine Russia border. Sakhalin and Kamchatka have no road to the outside world. Ukrainian special forces who do sabotage in Sakhalin and Kamchatka cannot escape and get caught.
