West Bengal had an SIR where there are 140+ seats where the margin of victory for the BJP was greater than the number of votes deleted. The SIR is a tool to delete Muslim votes, adivasi, SC, ST votes and add fake voters. BJPs new formula for winning elections is mass manipulation of electoral rolls. They did it in haryana dna Maharashtra then when INC and others raise the issue of vote chori, the election commission introduced the SIR. India's ECI has been compromised by Modi and it will be impossible for the opposition to win elections in the future. In Kerala and TN they couldn't use SIR to that extent because the BJP barely has any presence there.

1. Isn't this essentially if not outright illegally stripping millions of citizens of the right to vote and if so does it not disqualify India from being considered a true democracy and thus a quasi-fascist state?
2. Isn't this stripping people of the right to vote and choose their leaders just the first stage in making Bengali Muslims not just 2nd class citizens but not citizens at all and a Hindutva/BJP goal to engage in mass explusion of millions of Muslims to Bangladesh?
This will not be allowed to happen and it will mean outright war between Bangladesh and India and we Bangladesh will smash the BJP to smithereens.

I think the CJP needs to demand the resignation of Amit Shah. Shah is a fascist and a Hindutva extremist who is against the values of the modern Republic of India. The people that created India, including the many fighters for independence from Bengal (our region), were not struggling to create the Nazi-style state that Modi and Amit Shah are trying to create. They would regard it as a frankenstein monster, a perversion of everything they strove for.

Now regardless of your bias, analyze how things unfolded in India - people were not happy with govt conduct, they came on the streets in capital city about 500 meters or so from Parliament. People across economic, religions, castes, regions came together and stood firm. So much so, that government had to fire the minister and take steps to improve the current structure.
Today, a high-level committee headed by none other than Nandan N. (former CEO Infosys) was formed to enhance the testing process. Can you quote me a single such instance in Pakistan in last 10-years?
Mud-slinging and name calling is easy, walking the talk on democracy harder but again - I don't expert people who haven't seen a single completion of govt or peaceful transfer of power for 75 years understand whats democracy about, what people's rights are about...

The RSS and BJP have this fetish of reducing Indian Muslims to second class citizens. India's GenZ is the perfect antidote to this virus. They were born in the internet. By the time they reached age 7-8 most kids learnt to use smart phones. They have explored multiple cultures, made friends with people from all over and the urban GenZ had the money to travel and explore the world. This is also the most equal generation ever ! Notice the amount of girls who participated in these protests. These girls are fearless and won't take BS, in GenZ lingo, they are baddies.

1. The problem with nationalists (of any nation be it Bangladeshis as well or even religious fundamentalists) is that they de-humanise the other and label whole groups of heterogenous peoples as one monolithic entity as being X and being Y. All Hindus are X and all Muslims are Y. (There is bigotry from both sides including Islamic extremists, Jamaatis etc btw) The truth is very nuanced. India's Muslims are not a homogenous community in any way shape or form including ethnicity, caste, religious school of thought. Some Indian Muslims from "upper caste" families are "forbidden" to marry lower-caste Muslims. Some Muslims are very sectarian e.g. Sufi v Salafi/Wahabi and declare each other as disbelievers. Some Hindus are good people and have better personalities than some "Muslims". Religious fundamentalists and radical nationalists ignore the individual humanity of individual people and focus on the group identity. I think some of the extreme sectarianism of some Muslims then helps fuel Hindutva and the BJP/RSS have ammunition to cherry pick controversial statements from some Muslims and promote hatred.
2. Despite all that India was long admired post WW2 for being a post-colonial progressive state that sought the betterment of (non-white) developing nations and anti-communalism was deeply rooted in the psyche of its elite. However as we can see this has ended. What probably prevents the BJP from their wet dreams of mass ethnic cleasning of Bengali Muslims is just sheer practicality and the logistical impossibility of it, the Modi-Shah regime have tried to kidnap Bengali Muslim families in west Bengal and send them to the Bangladesh border and forcibly throw them on our soil. We have said no. If Modi and Shah are not careful then they and the likes of Jaishankar could one day be tried in court for crimes against India citizens such as abduction and torture. A few months ago trolls on this forum would have laughed at such a statement. Now there is widespread calls for Amit Shah's resignation and a possible trial and it's not even impossible Modi might go.
