The years of Rouhani's governmentYeah I think something happened between 2011 and 2023. Do you remember what that was?
Sanctions, mismanagement, corruptionYeah I think something happened between 2011 and 2023. Do you remember what that was?
It is a huge leap from last year's ranking of the #20 spot. Its the progress that's important and God willing it will continue with better results in the future.Sanctions, mismanagement, corruption
My point is that celebrating production of 1.2m cars is not merited given this is a steep decline from 10 years ago
Also a ranking of #16 is basically where we should be given we have the #17th biggest population in the world
Indeed, back then iran seemed to prefer simply assembling cars from a majority of imported components even tho it could`ve been manufacturing a lot of components locally.Peugeot had occupied Iranian production lines with its overpriced outdated platforms that were never localized in Iran.
French colonial mindset and the old fools among Kargozaran with their big fat backsides along with their Eslahati lackies had made Iranian car industry one of the most vulnerable sectors of economy to western sanctions. A dependent industry that was crippled right after French betrayal.
After suffering production halt in some sectors, most of the components were localized or replaced with Chinese products. The industry is being strengthened again with strategy of make it independently.
Sure, but progress from when to when? From last year to this year, ok great. From 10 years ago to this year, not so good. That's my point. If your narrative is that production levels have to start again from a much lower base after US sanctions took their toll, then I hope we see continued and consistent growth in auto production in the coming years. But I have been reading news reports about plans to increase car production to X millions within Y years for the past 10 years and we are in a worse position than where we started, so forgive me for being sceptical. It is a huge leap from last year's ranking of the #20 spot. Iran is not a normal country operating under normal conditions. Iran is at war with the sole dominant global order and yet it is managing to improve which means that it has weathered the sanctions storm and it has come out on top. The very fact that these numbers are up is a sign of victory and should be celebrated! This does not mean that there is no room for improvement. Far from it. It shows that things are not as bleak as some make it out to be and there is hope for the future.Sure, but progress from when to when? From last year to this year, ok great. The Judiciary is the key for improving the economic situation of Iran. They have to go after the mafia that have ran the auto industry in Iran! Iran needs to clean house the same way that Russia cleaned out the Oligarchs who were responsible for some of the worst times for the Russian people since "the Great Patriotic War"!Sure, but progress from when to when?
