Pakistan won't get any 5th gen fighter before India does. India too will take its time.
The best option in the meanwhile would be to refocus on something like PFX. It is the perfect strategic project to bridge the gap between late 4th generation fighters and 5th generation air superiority platforms.
While the JF-17 served as an affordable single engine workhorse, the PFX concept paves the way for a heavier, larger and twin engine 4.5th generation platform.
Greater Payload & Range: Heavy long range air to air missiles (e.g. PL-15 class) and domestic standoff strike weapons. The ability to carry nuclear missiles.
Higher Power Generation: Crucial for powering high gain GaN (Gallium Nitride) AESA radars and intensive EW jammers.
Low Observable (Stealth) Features: Incremental signature reduction techniques, including radar absorbing composites, Diverterless Supersonic Inlets (DSI) and potential internal/semi recessed weapons carriage.
Achieving these milestones through an experimental platform like PFX would give PAF enough time to induct a 5th gen fighter. The PAF needs to replace many fighters in the coming years. It will need a mix of Hi-Lo fighters. The PFX should be envisaged one class above the J-10C and be able fulfil the heavy lifting. PAF still requires a heavy, long range, air superiority multi-role fighter. Something like the Su-30 MKI that India has. Even a 5th gen fighter like J-35 cannot fulfil that role.
Oh Bhai If you're thinking of Israel, there is no way that Israel can reach Pakistani major nuclear research facilities, especially in northern Punjab, even IAF (Israeli air force) is able to Launch ALBM (air launch ballistic Missile) from Iranian border by their F-35 (least possibility) or their F-16/F-15, so their ALBMS still not enough range to reach our major nuclear facilities in northern Punjab, so If you considering Israel as a threat, I don't think Israel poses major threat to PakistanAfter meddling in middle east if u r thinking india is your only adversary then i cant say much
Zero. The speed at which Pakistan moves the J-35 may make it there by early to mid 2030's.What are the chances we see the J-35AE on August 14?
all the customized setup , testing and then the production of the jets adapted to our needs and building up of the infrastructure support staff and pilot training etc will take time.. there might be few milestones already passed but some are still to pass. the most time will be making them battle ready through integrating them and by adding them to PAF doctrineZero. If PFX is something 20% larger than JF17 and have J-10C engine. That would be a great platform even with single engine.
The AZM 5th generation project was also over ambitious project like PFX with the assigned budget disappearing in the pockets senior officers.Any pretence that Pakistan can develop PFX as a twin engine platform is a joke. PAF will either purchase the Kaan or J-35AE as its twin engine platform.
PAF will be at most a local avionics upgrade of the JF17 Block III with no structural changes.

How? please explain? to reach Indian air space they must go through our EEZ in northern Arabian sea where PN and our fighter jets at Bolhari/Masroor airbase waiting for themThey can using indian air space
