Russian Navy its returning to its formidable past

8 x SSBN + 2 more under construction = 10 x SSBN
5 x SSN + 2 under trials + 3 building = 10 x SSN

thats 20 x 4th generation modern nuclear submarines all by 2032

Those are the Borei and Yasen numbers.

There are about 5 Delta IV in service as well making the total SSBN numbers 11.

This accounts for the first Borei being in refit for the next several years.

Supposedly a few Akulas are in refit as well.

I wonder how many of the Akulas are actually in service.

Putin definitely prioritized the SSN/SSBN programs for sure.

yes I was more looking only at the 4th generation variations
