Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Terrorism Watch

They hide among civilians who give them shelter and cover, after slaughtering their own ethnic brothers in big numbers, so its a cycle we will never come out off, just keep killing them as many as possible.
That's true unformattable. They usually come out do an ambush and then go back in. This very true in the Southern Distrito's, where the people are with them. Less so in Peshawar Valley and on the districts on the M1 motorway.

Two law enforcers martyred in DI Khan ambush: police

Muhammad Irfan Mughal
July 31, 2026

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two policemen were martyred when unidentified armed men ambushed a police patrol in the Shah Alam Mor area of Daraban Kalan in Dera Ismail Khan district on Friday, police said.

Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Mekan said the attack occurred within the limits of the Choudhwan police station when armed men opened fire on a police party returning from the site of a protest.

Police said the incident followed the fatal shooting of a civilian on Thursday night.

Officials said unidentified gunmen attempted to stop two men travelling on a motorcycle in the Choudhwan area a day earlier. When the riders failed to stop, the attackers opened fire, killing one of the men.

The killing prompted residents to block Daraban Road on Friday morning. The road was later reopened after successful negotiations between the protesters and police.

Officials said four policemen travelling on two motorcycles after the protest ended were ambushed near Shah Alam Mor by armed men lying in wait.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Faqir Hussain and Head Constable Wazir Khan were martyred in the attack, while the two other policemen remained unharmed.

Police and security personnel rushed to the scene, shifted the bodies to hospital for legal formalities and launched a search operation to trace the attackers. An investigation is underway.

Those APCs are supposed to withstand the very ambush, how did they all get littered like that....
RPG can penetrate such APCs at short range. Taliban or militants in afpak region never had any scarcity of RPGs. When ANA fell, Taliban captured around 30,000 RPG7 launchers and western weapons of equivalent anti armour weapons. Most likely, TTP gained access to large quantity of such weapons. They even have some Javelin missiles. I don't think Taliban will give TTP any significant amount of Javelins, but there is atleast one video of TTP brandishing a Javelin ATGM.

The worse Pakistan - Taliban relations get, the more access TTP and other militant groups will have to the huge stockpile of weapons that the US left behind. This is the Taliban's leverage with Pakistan.

Pakistan has bigger better stockpiles، only thing lacking is will to crush these maggots

That leverage means nothing if Pakistan has even bigger weapons to call on

You're extremely retarded to think that these things depend on any relations. TTP is TTA. They would have done it regardless. Their strategic goal is to capture KP and Balochistan. TTP literally has everything that TTA has. As TTA consolidates more power and is recognised, the insurgency in Balochistan and KP will pick up. Heck they even started diverting trade routes when they came into power, to reduce dependency and leverage.

Tumharay jesay bhenchod bahir baith kar boltay hain insay negotiate karoo and have good relationship with terrorists.

The army needs to be whopped for their policies, American were always right. But negotiations or having any relationship with these retards is futile. The next step is the build a great wall to seal the border permanently, introduce new terror laws and punish collaborator indiscriminately. Focus on IBOs and eventually a major operation. Nothing else will work.

Security forces operation in the areas of Bannu’s Jani Khel, Hindi Khel, and Sai Dargah: 15 Kharijites, including two high-value commanders of the proscribed Gul Bahadur Group, killed.

During the operation, high-value commanders Surt Marwat and Niaz, affiliated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, were targeted and killed.

The killed commander Niaz of the proscribed Gul Bahadur Group was conducting drone attacks on the homes of members of the Peace Committee.

Due to fear of security forces’ operations, assistance was sought from the leadership of the Gul Bahadur Group based in Afghanistan.

In response, the Shura of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group dispatched the notorious commander Surt Marwat from Lakki to assist the terrorist network, who was killed in the security forces’ operation.

This is proof that the leadership of the terrorist organization is present in Afghanistan and provides support to local commanders from there.

The killed commander Surt Marwat was beheading innocent citizens on charges of espionage.

If TTP is TTA and their strategic goal is to capture KP and Baluchistan, as you say, then why did Pakistan facilitate the TTP to capture Kabul twice ? Kya Pakistan kee fauj itnee baiwakuff hai ?
Tumharay jesay bhenchod bahir baith kar boltay hain insay negotiate karoo and have good relationship with terrorists.
You have been completely outplayed by the Taliban and your bombing, blockades, refugee explusion and other military Ops have not worked. It is time to swallow your pride, admit your giant blunders and sit down to negotiate and come to an agreement with the Taliban. Then maybe you will get something for your 30 plus years of investing in the Taliban.

All this has been done repeatedly in the past and failed. Maybe you were born yesterday and don't know.

Perhaps if you studied the past when you keep referring to it you would not keep brownnosing the Taliban beyond your ethnic identity(or maybe that is what drives your need to obfuscate or cherry pick events to do so... can never tell when ethnicity drives motivation...)

The only part I do agree with is the stupidity of the establishment... wholeheartedly.

TTP was NOT TTA - trying to lump history in sections is wrong but the attitude towards Pakistan has been CONSTANT.

When the Taliban took power in 95 THEY REPEATED the old Afghan demand - their interior minister REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE DURAND LINE THEN... That was not a post-2001 "betrayal" invention. It was the same rejection every Afghan government has held since 1947, and the Taliban carried it into both their Emirate periods without interruption.

YES, the establishment was stupid but it had its own ideals that stemmed from Zai ul haqs "koh kaaf" abstracts and Hamid Guls myopic pan islamic suicide of Pakistan which is celebrated as some grand success by... I dont have good language for that. "Strategic depth" was never a contract the Taliban signed. It was an ISI fantasy that ideological affinity plus sanctuary would buy compliance. It never did. Not in 1996–2001 when they still rejected the border, and not after 2021 when they gave the TTP safe haven, refused to rein them in, and watched TTP attacks more than double while Pakistan's "investment" bought zero leverage on the Durand Line or cross-border terrorism.

The Taliban are the Afghan - and the Afghan HAS ALWAYS AND WILL ALWAYS CONSIDER the people east of them to be racially inferior in which they will use Islam or whatever metric to justify that.
In that racial metric they also want to get their areas in KP back - if you want to openly admit to joining them .. please do so instead of proposing one sits down with people who consider everyone east of them sub-humans.

NOW, does that ABSOLVE the fauj and the geniuses within it and bureaucracy who decided to treat Afghanistan as a rear base against India, who sheltered the same leadership after 2001 while claiming to be a major non-NATO ally, who revived the relationship around 2005–06 thinking they could still control the outcome, and who then acted shocked when the 2021 takeover produced a Kabul that hosts the TTP instead of suppressing it? No.

Patronage was never control. The Durand Line rejection was never temporary. And sitting down to "negotiate an agreement" with a regime whose foundational view of the border and of Pakistanis east of it has not shifted in thirty years is not strategy...it is repeating the same delusion that produced the mess in the first place.

NOTHING left to negotiate. As if the afghandu taliban sons of prostitutes will abide by any treaty. These sons of prostitutes claim that their dna and that of indians is one................:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.......ONLY thing left to do is to kick EVERY SINGLE afghandu out of Pakistan, seal the border and shoot on-site ANY afghandu trying to enter Pakistan. MASS bomb the afghandu children of prostitutes if there is a terrorist attack in Pakistan.

Yes the military is actually that retarded. Every single afghan government has been irredentist towards pakistan but the higher echelons have been smoking too much islami bhai bullshit since the 1970s. That is why you see now the army using airfirce to degrade weapons stockpile of TTA now. Everyone now know the truth but politics over national interest.

Correction - people are retarded- all others and still large chunks of the public will swallow the next round of "Muslim brotherhood," "Pashtun solidarity," or "negotiate with Kabul" nonsense because ethnicity and slogans beat memory every time.

Memory, in this country, is optional. Ethnicity and the well-timed slogan are not.

The politicians and the usual television ulema barely break a sweat. They point at the fauj’s very real catalogue of blunders so that nobody has to dwell on the one continuous Afghan position on the border, or on the awkward detail that TTP is not some ancient twin of the Afghan Taliban but a post-2007 reaction that only grew real teeth once Kabul became a safe house again after the Americans left.

Public amnesia is the oxygen. Without a population that keeps forgetting 1996–2001, forgetting who rejected the Durand Line with Pakistani patronage still warm in the pocket, and forgetting that patronage was never control, the political class could not keep selling “dialogue” as strategy. It is not strategy. It is the same delusion, reheated, with fresh tarka.

The army’s stupidity is real, documented, and expensive. But the public’s cheerful refusal to hold a single consistent line on national interest is what lets everyone else enjoy"piece tu bara tight hai" .

Exactly. Btw, it's only going to get worse since people instantly react to tweets, Reels, and TikToks without verifying anything. Nobody waits for facts anymore. A 30-second clip or a random Twitter thread is enough for people to form an opinion, and by the time the truth comes out, the narrative has already been set.

I love how every counterterrorism operation is instantly termed as "Pashtun brutality," lmao. It's like the TTP's actions don't even matter anymore. The focus immediately shifts from terrorists to the state. It's also astonishing that in Hangu, the TTP butchered nine men and took hostages. Somehow, magically, the jirga elders contacted the TTP and got them back. I'm like, these fucking clowns know exactly who is who and who is doing what, but they'll still give credence to their ethnicity before acting civilized. They'll publicly claim nobody knows where the militants are, yet when they want hostages released, they suddenly know exactly which commanders to call.

It's a never-ending cycle. Militants regroup, the state launches an operation, social media declares it a war against civilians before any facts are established, political parties jump in to score points, and public opinion turns against the operation. Then the military pulls back under pressure, militants return stronger, and a few months later everyone asks why security has deteriorated again.

On top of that, PTI packaging anti-terror operations as failures, calling strikes in Afghanistan illegal, and parroting Afghan propaganda is the cherry on top. Instead of building a political consensus against terrorism, every operation becomes a partisan issue. You simply cannot fight an insurgency when half the political class is busy undermining the state's narrative while the other half is trying to conduct operations.

I genuinely feel like we're heading toward a major security crisis with deep paralysis because PTI won't change its stance and people oppose almost every operation before it even begins. You can't demand security while simultaneously opposing every action taken to establish it. Then stuff like Swat happens, girls can't go to school, businesses shut down, people are displaced, and everyone suddenly turns around and says, "Ab bacha lo humein." By then, the cost of inaction is far higher than the cost of acting earlier.

I have explained it before, in this thread and others that "Durand Line", "Pashtunistan" , "Greater Afghanistan" are non-issues on the Pakistani side. Nobody cares for it except some paranoid and ignorant people in GHQ, who have also vividly displayed their complete misunderstanding of Afghanistan for the last 50 years.

Afghans have implicitly accepted the border between the two countries since 1948 when both countries recognized each other. If some Afghan Pashtuns continue to blab about it, it's purely politics, for domestic political consumption.

Afghanistan isn't going anywhere and thanks to your decades of patronage, neither is the Taliban. The only realistic option left is to recognize the Taliban, sit down with them and hammer out an agreement for co-existence. Then the Taliban will cut back their support for the TTP and the BLA.

You need to realize you have been completely outplayed on the western border, and have lost. The reason you were outplayed is because incompetent Faujis were making policy, and not foreign policy professionals.

You can call this "ethnic propaganda" or some other nonsense. I call it realistic foreign policy, something Pakistan has been missing on its western border for the last 50 years.
