Naqvi urges 'all political parties' to settle issue of more provinces, says current 'system' has collapsed

Punjab is horridly managed what are you talking about? What management even is there? The only reason Punjab is because it gets most funding and largest population.

Punjab generate largest tax for federal govt. Otherwise give provinces power to collect taxes on goods and services in their own provinces and some of that money can be shared with federal govt, like India does.

Reading some of the justifications for newer provinces from the likes of Aleem Khan or other morons just drives home to you how utterly dumb and incompetent these people are, failing to grasp basic governance 101.

Or maybe they do grasp it and are just deliberately fooling us?

Unless and until you overhaul your governance system and get out of this DC system, having a million provinces won't solve the issue. Pehle banda Lahore badshah kay pas jata tha, now he will go to the King in Multan. What difference does it make? Why does he even have to go to a king to get anything done? Why can't the same service be provided by a local government?

Just another power grab to get more allocation for your preferred partners, and seat yourself as the lone man at the top. Har CM ka naya jahaz, har kisi ka naya CJ, har kisi ka naya IG, lut hi lut.

What do people have to say about this? They always claimed the rulers are innocent and now DGISPR confirming elite and Tribal chiefs are involved in drug trades.

DGISPR also needs to explain why the army and rangers then defend these same mafia families.

We know what Naqvi is paraphrasing from...

And the problem with that is that it was never illogical even when Musharraf tried it.

Problem is the uncles proposing find out that this section of the established political system will never let go of their fiefdoms and they start getting nervous about their legitimacy when these Goonies, Jiyalas and Diesel carries say - "you do this and we will expose you and make your lives hell"... and this makes the relatives in wardi of this ghunda gardi also start pushing internally...

So all good ideas also die on the same hill they died before

Again
and Again
And again

General losing the grip and things getting out of control. Now they are trying to disassociate themselves from elite ruling mafia...... those came in power by the blessing of form 47 and our generals.

Biggest blunder committed. Since the 1990s (recent history) PPP, Pmln were propagated as traitors, corrupt and incompetence, governments were removed, leaders exiled and post 2021 they want the awaam to accept them as patriotic Pakistanis and saviours. Not sure who is the mastermind behind this, the great mind of Pakistan. Slowly the narrative is being lost, and its heartbreaking since Pakistan will be harmed in this process. The establishment needs to understand its not their job to come on tv and make statements like this, the representatives of the people are needed and they need to work extra hard at grassroot level to counter anti state propaganda, to counter extremism, radicalism, separatism etc. Creating more provinces will fix some issues but the budget which is eaten by current big mafias will be eaten at local level by local mafias in each constituency. In Pakistan the MNAs get the budget, after everyone takes their cut money is given to local contractors and they eat the rest of the pie so only fraction is actually used on the project. How can we fix this issue when everyone wants to fill their own pockets.

So did the fellow before them who came into power by their help.

at the end when you are getting yourself into something you are not qualified to do - at the behest of keeping an elite system alive...
Then you will be hailed as saviors as needed or blamed when you screw up because you had no idea what you were doing.

Our forte is agriculture, and we have to excel in that first. Law and order and connectivity are other advantages.

We cannot be a tech and manufacturing hub as we don't have manpower, skill set, and reliable power sources (and are way behind in the race). An exception can be some microeconomic zones. We must build ourselves as skilled labourers and entrepreneurs.

We must not have degraded our relations with Afghanistan so openly. We could have traded all the way to Kaziqistan as we were doing in the ANA era. After TTA, it could have gone up, but again, Pak was sold for a General's

Pakistan has an enormous opportunity to build low‑competition, high‑value industries by leveraging its natural resources, agricultural base, and specialized Economic Zones (EZs). Instead of competing head‑to‑head with China or India in saturated markets, Pakistan can focus on frontier agricultural derivatives, bio‑materials, climate‑resilient products, and specialized manufacturing where global competition is still limited.

In Pakistan, dozens of export‑ready products can be developed from agriculture and natural materials, olive oil derivatives, cactus‑based leather, alternative wood composites, pharmaceutical botanicals, and many more.

The EZ model covers the entire pipeline:

• skill development
• specialized training based on zone type
• cluster‑based manufacturing
• export‑oriented production
• R&D integration
• foreign partnerships

Each zone becomes a mini‑economy with its own specialization, workforce, and export identity.

As far as Pakistan–Afghanistan economic relations are concerned, I have already emphasized my long term vision. (Post Taliban)
It should be shared industries, cross‑border value chains, and joint EZ corridors can stabilize the region far more effectively than political rhetoric. Economic interdependence creates long‑term peace.

Atleast Imran Khan broke the status quo and Generals didn t realize, they went back to " Porana Pakistan refuge " ....and now literally everything out of control. I am on the ground and see how poverty skyrocket in Pakistan in last 3 years.
General Musharraf got massive support due to his action against dynastic parties.

Look I get the need for cultist worship but at least get the sequence right...

Imran Khan did not “break the status quo.” He governed inside it, leaned on the same generals who later removed him, and left the economy in freefall before anyone dragged him out. The poverty you see on the ground in the last three years did not begin the day he left office; the bill for years of denial, borrowed time, and populist accounting came due.

Blaming only the post-2022 period is convenient storytelling.

Musharraf’s early popularity for hitting the dynasties lasted until the NRO. It does not turn every later general into a villain and every anti-dynasty experiment into sacred history. The institution went back to its old habits because that is what the institution does when its interests are threatened. Whether under Musharraf, under the ones who backed Khan, and under the ones who dropped him. That is continuity, not a unique betrayal of a unique savior.

“Everything out of control” and “I am on the ground” do not make the rest of the claim true. Treating one man as the sole rupture in a broken system, and every reverse as proof the system could not handle his light, is how cults talk.

Dynasties failed.
Generals failed.
The project that sold itself as the clean break failed too.
Holding only two of those three accountable is not insight.
