That's a valid concern. However, any potential radioactive contamination would generally be localized and far less severe than the environmental fallout from a nuclear explosion
Still a nuclear weapon with equally adverse ramifications, just less effective as a weapon.
These missiles don't exist because they don't make any sense. The nuclear fallout renders them unusable and they provide no advantage over conventional rocket engines for warfare. Same reasons why the US abandoned their nuclear powered aircraft. The US was developing these engines for interplanetary use to save weight and space on fuel but abandoned them in the early 70s.
