Iran has a very comprehensive industrial system, and this aircraft looks extremely impressive. Without sanctions, its achievements would be truly remarkable

An advanced fighter aircraft is about much more than just its engine. It depends on a country's entire industrial foundation, including metallurgy, materials science, electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace engineering, flight control technology, and many other fields.
Without these foundations, it's simply impossible to build a truly capable fighter aircraft.

That's why, today, only China and the United States are capable of independently developing advanced fighter aircraft. Russia has fallen somewhat behind, while European countries have to work together to develop a next-generation fighter.

The reason is simple: apart from China and the United States, no other major economy possesses such a complete industrial foundation.

People keep comparing KAAN to Iran’s Qaher‑313 is a joke , but that comparison simply isn’t grounded in facts. KAAN is a real, flying fifth‑generation prototype built by an industrial ecosystem that already produces operational fighter jets, helicopters, UAVs, engines, radars, and avionics. Qaher‑313, on the other hand, has never flown, never demonstrated systems, and is widely considered a mock‑up by defence analysts.

So, what exactly is the comparison ?

KAAN completed its maiden flight in 2024 and has continued test flights since. This alone puts it in a completely different category from projects that exist only as models or static displays.

KAAN Block‑1 is planned to enter service with interim engines, while Block‑2 and Block‑3 will incorporate more advanced stealth shaping, domestic engines, and enhanced sensor fusion. This is a structured, multi‑stage program similar to how the F‑35 and KF‑21 evolved.

We can be proud of this as Turks, even if it bothers some of you people.

Without these foundations, it's simply impossible to build a truly capable fighter aircraft.
And why you think Turkey haven't these industries? explain it
 
lol do you know what is the T/W and lift to drag ratio of Qaher 313? and Iran has no money to develop Qaher 313 further, and Turkey is far far more advance than primetive Iran in terms of aerospace sector (remember Turkey was a tech developer and Mid- body developer of F-35 project)

You’re comparing missile development to building a 5th‑generation fighter jet, which makes no sense at all. These are completely different engineering domains. A country can be strong in missile technology and still be decades behind in advanced aviation. the skill sets, industrial base, and testing requirements are not even similar is it?

KAAN is already flying, already integrating real avionics, already undergoing test campaigns, and backed by an industry that produces helicopters, UAVs, trainers, radars, and engines. Qaher‑313 has never flown, never demonstrated systems, and has no verified testing data. Comparing the two because “missile tech improved” is like saying a country that builds good refrigerators can suddenly build nuclear submarines.
