The army and ruling cultists will hold Imran Khan in jail as long as possible.

They know if Imran Khan is released, there will be a seismic shift and the government and the hybrid regime may possibly collapse under its own weight.

On the other hand, the PTI party has been heavily infiltrated and they can do nothing about it. Credit to the agencies on achieving success on this front.

If not for external factor, or the Corp Commanders becoming agitated with Asim, this rule will continue for decades.

The governance aspect has been below average, macroeconomic indicators are bleak, but that won’t stop the next elections culminating in PMLN victory with army support.

Meanwhile PTI will continue with their muted support for IK to be released from jail, fauj will infiltrate every other institution, PMLN will do fauj’s bidding as it prolongs their rule. And Pakistan will continue to teeter.

Question for you, if US was behind removal of Imran Khan then why are almost every other PTI politician and influencer hiding in US?

Although this question shouldn’t be directed towards me, but I will give my opinion here.

Did a clerk at the US department make a veiled threat to a Pakistani embassy official? Yes.

Was it the cause of PTI’s downfall. No.

There were other factors at play, ie Bajwa and army officers getting opposition politicians (including convicted ones) in line to get the no confidence motion. Even if the courts had to open late into the night.

But khair, the PTI has become hollow from inside. The electables, lotas, corrupts are just selling free IK narrative to further their own rule.

It will take an own goal moment from the Corp Commanders or an external shakeup to release IK. And chances of that happening are pretty slim.

So an American clerk out of the blue demanded IK's removal, and then the Pakistani military leadership acted on that? You do realize that American or any other nation's foreign policy is not decided by a clerk, and in fact, there is a chain of command structure behind such decision. Well, that's not even that important who wrote the letter or who made the call to Bajwa.... whats important is the deceiving tactics used by IK who was able to sell this churan to emotionally charged awam that America ki sazish say mujhay nikala hai. His entire PTI team was going around telling awam kay dheko Amreka hum say khush nahi hai qu kay hum Amreka kay agay nahi jukhai.
And then lets not forget before US 2024 elections these PTI buffoons were lobbying for Trump because they were under this impression that chacha Trump will rescue IK because saar he is a good Pharand.
One of the reason why PTI is so popular is because they have mastered the art of lying and making up stories to get sympathy and promise false hope that they are the chosen one by Allah.
Not sure why people like you who know PTI wont survive without IK still support this cult.

Its the same old mantra.

Bhutto’s PPP was wrong, Nawaz Sharif’s PMLN was wrong, Imran Khan’s PTI is wrong.

Pakistanis are too dumb when it comes to electing its leaders and Establishment is always right.

You can come up with any rationale. If there were free and fair elections, we know who the winner will be. Or maybe, just maybe, give a chance to the writ of the constitution, for a change, and not side with folks who violate it every now and then.

So let’s give it at rest. To the establishment fanboys (cultist is reserved for PTIs), continue your way and keep at it. 70 years of Pakistan’s life has been wasted with these martial, hybrid, semi hybrid regime experiments. Lets hope Pakistan prospers going forward.

I was just wondering around this thread after a few months and it seems we’re still stuck with the same old issue.

I’ll probably sign out and my itchy fingers might just lurk again after a few months.

No real changes in the past few months. Only recently there is talk of a national unity govt being formed, that will include PTI and then that govt should study the constitutional changes like new provinces or presidential system. I think this new trial balloon of national unity govt by Establishment is an implicit admission that hybrid regime experiment flopped as well.

Waooo! Would you look at that. Havent you guys mastered the art of deflection. Just change the topic as soon as you get caught or can't talk your way out of the propaganda you started, just play the victim card. 🫪👍
Let me remind you, the reason why PTI became popular is because of this drama they started that they are the only political party that can stand against American pressure which turned out to be just political gimmick since pretty much all their politicians and PTI influencers ran to US. This is one of the key factor why PTI has alot of support from emotionally charged awam who always look for messiah but instead what they got is a dajjal locked in jail 😂

As for the military being involved in politics, it's crazy how you guys fail to understand Pakistan's ground reality and instead oversimplify its geopolitical dynamics, as if Pakistan is a country like New Zealand that could simply be left alone.
Not sure which Riyasat e Medina Imrand was talking about in which Military is excluded from politics but throughout Muslim history, it has always played a role in politics. Be it Ottoman or Mughal empire.
