Quite possible but some were also being tested in China with and without mmr prior to delivery. It could be one of those. Assuming.

Probably because Americans want to keep an account of how many airframes they've sold to Pak and usually the American DOW announces the deal and numbers procured. No such thing with Chinese acquisitions though
