Great post.As of yet there are over 1180 posts and 79 pages on this thread thus far.
However, I'm yet to see ANY post that looks at the Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabian defence pact from the following angle.
In the late 1940s, the People's Republic of China decided it needed to become a global superpower in order to survive and not be destroyed by the west or potentially even the soviet union. Many people in China and across the world scoffed at the idea and even ridiculed it. They said it was impossible. The americans and soviets were too advanced and powerful. That they would both not allow China to become a superpower and that the west, the soviets and europe will ALWAYS be ahead and that it was impossible for China to ever catch up. Since 1948, China has gone through many hardships, trials and tribulations. They have even faced some humiliations and failures along the way yet they NEVER EVER GAVE UP! So now in 2026, China stands as a world superpower and is set to become the world's FIRST EVER global HYPER POWER. The People's Republic of China has surpassed europe and russia (the former soviet union). They have virtually reached parity with the americans and are set to surpass them in science and technology in the next few years if they haven't already done so. China is now a FULLY developed nation with the most advanced, cleanest and best cities in the world; the best infrastructure on the planet; China has the best, cleanest and most advanced public transportation system on earth; the best schools, hospitals; shops etc; the 2ns best economy in the world with a very high standard of living comparable or even better than western european standards.
Here in 2026 in terms of geostrategic constraints, the Middle Eastern and Muslim nations find themselves in the same position as the Chinese were in the late 1940s. The elites and decision makers in Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia are VERY WELL aware of this reality. For over 100 years, the Muslim world has had to rely on and obey colonialist racists for science, technology and development as we have been so backward in terms of science, technology and economics. Muslim nations have become the virtual slaves of the colonialist racists and the Muslim people have been reduced to the rank of being lower than animals, worthy of mass slaughter and genocide. What has been the result of ALL of this? The result has been the subjugation and genocide of 10s of millions of Muslims by colonialist racists and facing the humiliation of not even being allowed to speak about this let alone fight back against it. If current trends continue, the colonial racists will virtually wipeout the Muslim world and destroy Islam. The genocide of AT LEAST 100,000 Palestinians is a prelude to ALL of this. The colonialist racists can NEVER be reasoned with. The colonial racists want to castrate Muslim men and make Muslim women their prostitutes.
Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia are AWARE of ALL of the above and have decided to pool their resources together in order to survive and eventually prosper. The REAL aims of the Mekkah pact is to achieve the following:
(1)For all 3 nations to eventually INDEPENDENTLY develop DEADLY, ADVANCED conventional weapons systems that are world class and will deter aggressors
(2) To sell the conventional advanced weapons systems to fellow Muslim countries and our allies in order to defend themselves against genocidal racist colonialists
(3) IF the existence of Pakistan, Turkiye or Saudi Arabia are threatened, nuclear weapons may be deployed and used.
The above points are NOT something that will bare fruit in the next 5-10 years or so. It may take DECADES to show tangible and solid results. Along the way, there may be many failures, humiliations, trials and tribulations. Many will doubt the Makkeh pact and claim it is useless and meaningless. That it should be dissolved. That is to be expected.
My question is, what is the alternative? Should the Muslim world continue to be divided and be picked off one by one, being destroyed and genocided by the colonialist racists?. Or should we try to unite and become self-sufficient in producing deadly advanced weaponary so we can defend ourselves against aggression and genocide? Do we want Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia or ANY other Muslim nation to end up like Gaza?
Many of you will laugh at the above and I understand that. It is your right and prerogative to laugh and ridicule.
PS Some say that the racist colonialists would never attack Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia so the Makkeh pact is unnecessary. These are the SAME people who would have said before October 2023 that the israelis would never massacre over 100,000 Palestinians in Gaza. That the so called "world community" would prevent it. There is NO-ONE to help us Muslims except Muslims ourselves. The Makkeh pact is a stepping stone to this.
Nothing to scoff at here at all.
Israel is, quietly, concerned at this pact.
Who do you think has put pressure on Egypt to stay away from it?
You asked about alternatives, which is the correct angle from which to evaluate this event.
The critics of this pact do not seem to realise (or they CHOOSE not to realise) that the only alternative in the middle east is to ask the Americans for such protections.
If Turkiye, KSA, and Pakistan can do the needful and maintain order in the Middle East, then all three nations will continue to grow and strengthen. This is now a test of our resolve. Israel is dead against this pact. USA, under anyone but Trump, will also be against it (Trump is an anomaly as far as the US deep state goes, who seems to place personal interests above anything else, hence is probably accepting of anything that lets him get as far away from this quagmire of a region as is possible, at least for the time being). India is also unsettled by it because of its implications locally for them.
Anyone from other Muslim nations criticising this pact needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask themselves, why on earth would they want the default choice of USA as the net security provider in the Middle East instead?
The one thing I would say, from a personal perspective, is that there is no need for other nations now to enter, like Kuwait or Qatar or f knows who else the Pakistani foreign minister is hinting at. Let these small duchys and fiefdoms hire us certainly, but not be part of this elite group though.
The power of such unions becomes severely compromised by reckless smaller states with big gobs - why do you think Ukraine was kept out of NATO?
