Does Iraq have an Israeli embassy?

Otherwise
- Baku
- Jordan
- UAE
- Bahrein

Baku would be a great target here

UAE and Bahrain would complicate Iran-Saudi reapproachement. Baku would anger Turkey and will not happen. Jordan is the best target in my opinion. Around 1100km from Iran. It's in a densely populated city so the attack will need to be very precise.

But who are we kidding, if we are lucky to get any response it is more likely to be against some random building in Iraq.

Initial reports that IRGC BG Reza Zahedi was martyred in the strike against the Iranian Embassy in Damascus

Zahedi is a senior commander in the IRGC Quds Force and was previously the commander of the IRGC-ASF and IRGC-GF

According to Wikipedia he is 80 years old ...

This is a direct Israeli strike on Iranian territory (under international law). Failing to respond to this is tantamount to surrender.

important

if there is not a serious and proportionate response to this murder of a former Commander of the IRGC-ASF and IRGC-GF on Iranian territory (under international law), then it is time to talk about the failure of the IRI and what comes next. and we should start counting the days until the next Israeli strike martyrs IRGC commanders inside Iran itself.

if the IRI cannot or is unwilling to strike an Israeli embassy in the region, an alternative response is to enrich and accumulate uranium to 90%.

This is already a good news that they are reporting it as an attack on the embassy and not dodging what happened

I expect a retaliation tonight either on Jordan/Baku Israel embassy, but at least missiles to be launched tonight

agreed, it means they don't try to hide it to avoid pressure to respond.

disagree, iran never responds that quickly. it shows poor operational preparation for these scenarios. Iran took over a week to respond to US killing Soleimani and many many weeks to respond to the Kerman terrorist bombings etc.

several Iranian diplomats reportedly killed as well (unconfirmed as of now)

Official statement by the Syrian Ministry of Defense:

Around 17:00 this evening, the Israeli enemy targeted the Iranian consulate building in Damascus from the side of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. This attack led to the destruction of the entire building, and martyred and injured all the people inside. Work continues to remove the bodies of the martyrs, treat the injured and remove the debris.

Medias also pressures the state by doing this, the medias are reacting way differently than usual about it

but at least have a serious target such as the Jordan Israeli embassy, i still expect strikes to be made tonight as this is a high level agression directly on Iran and reported as such by internal medias

Also all the tools are here for PR

Israel attacked Iranian soil by international law

Iran has automatically the right to respond by targeting Israel (which they will probably not do), meaning Iran can target any Israeli embassy in neighboring countries

People will have a hard time painting this as an agression from Iran-
