PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

This is fairly close to the actual situation.

The J-10C still has capabilities and growth not fully maximized by PAF just yet.
And for that the network is being worked on but more importantly with the new warfighting changes a lot is happening on the loitering and mass swarm front. Both to send swarms and to counter them.

That is the priority.

one isnt aware of the j10's true capabilities, but if it has the ability to manipulate airborne munitions then that is a stepping stone to 5th and 6th gen fighters, maybe even work with loyal wingman aircraft like the Kızılelma to stand on the frontline to shoot and scoot bvraam's.

kinda what happened in may 2025 where the dark j10's fired the pl-15 whilst being guided by awacs and or other j10's further back.

but back to the j35..... no chance in seeing it for 5 years.

more j10's will come in to replace/compliment the mirages but will have a broader area of capability being air to surface and air to air, mirages were mainly air to surface.

the j35 will be seen as a successor to the f16 in my opinion.

What are the chances we see the J-35AE on August 14?
in my opinion, 0.01% chance. i don't see why we'd see J-35AEs so early considering india already abandoned the idea of buying foreign 5th gens and their indigenous one taking a looong long amount of time would mean no urgency for us to procure 5th gens as soon as possible, instead we'll get them slowly later, for now the priority should be a higher quantity of 4.5ths anyways, more J-10CEs and more JF-17s also Block 4s if they're done in time.

Agree to an extent. You are right, unlikely we will unveil anything new, but India is not the only threat anymiore.

What surprise is he talking about ?

14 august 2026... 6. 🤡
I would prefer PAF inducting after China has already inducted at least 100+ J-35s and has a new block with improved avionics. We should concentrate on inducting J-10C and JF-17s in large numbers to counter Rafales. Besides India has no available fifth generation fighter for next 5-10 years.

Yep - not long to go now. lol.

Ok - since the main day is over in Pakistan, we can safely assume no J-35AE appearance for the PAF on 14 August 2028.

( booo!!! booo!!! booo!!! ).

Commiserations to the those who predicted today was the day (including myself!)

In today’s world, where social media is so powerful, it’s extremely difficult to keep major developments completely hidden. If there is smoke, there will usually be something visible on social media long before an official announcement.

Similarly, if the J-35 induction had actually started, there would likely have been some indication or evidence of it becoming public by now. A surprise announcement is possible, but keeping a major development completely under wraps in the age of social media is increasingly difficult.
