Before we diagnose alienation....... let's establish how the relationship started.


To join Pakistan, Punjab and Sindh voted through elected assemblies. The NWFP got a referendum....... Balochistan got neither...... What it got was a vote from a hand-picked jirga, which the Muslim League's own provincial president at the time said was in no way representative of the people......... Not an opponent saying that..... The League itself acknowleding...


So the original contract was never signed by the people it was supposed to bind, either directly or through its representatives.... You're asking why there's alienation without asking whether consent was ever actually there to begin with.....

The grievance didn't start with the insurgency or with ideological rejection of Pakistan's ideology...... It started the day accession was rubber stamped by a body that had no mandate to speak for Balochistan, and the state chose convenience over legitimacy..... "non representative bodies" and "convenience" is what we continue to choose to this day


If you want to solve alienation, start by acknowledging where it started..... You can't fix a broken foundation by repainting the walls....

Dear there was no Balochistan. It was made by Pakistan, it didn't exist. So called Quetta Balochistan was pashtun area. Only Punjab and Sindh existed and both had parliament. NWFP/Balochistan in current form are creation of Pakistan.

Since it was divided in states so instrument of accession were signed by their rajas or grand jirga voted to join Pakistan.

Bahwalpur was separate state merged with punjab by Pakistan. Kharipur was separate state merged with Sindh by Pakistan. British was not going to leave little independent countries all along this region so there was no question independent Balochistan which didn't even exist back then.

The baloch need to realize they can never have independent little country of theirs with 5 million people, we will never allow that. Either they can all join BLA and do collective sucide by attacking Pakistan to try their luck or become peaceful citizens looking to progress and prosper. This current insugency will only bring ruin and misery to them. You Sarmad need to develop some critical thinking and not parrot surkha lies and propaganda on PDF.

Balochistan absolutely existed before Pakistan, as a Chief Commissioner's Province under the British, alongside the four princely states of Kalat, Kharan, Makran and Las Bela.....

NWFP had been a full province since 1901 with its own legislative assembly......

These are basic historical facts, not matters of interpretation......... You reject the fundamentals and then have the audacity to lecture others on what they should or shouldn't be saying....

And the argument that "Pakistan made Balochistan" is precisely the problem in one sentence. It wasn't created....... it was absorbed, and the legitimacy of that absorption is exactly what has been contested ever since....

Fair enough to suggest that we assume that we have established the above as the start point.

How do you suggest we now proceed? If we are taking excruciating technical details, then please do factor in tribal mindset in your proposed solution.

That is for the courts to decide. It's not a simple thing to take away citizenship of people born in the said territories.
