The Israelis would shoot them down. I want to see Syria's army strengthened and installation for Turkish radars and EW.

This is going to be a slow fight, right now the first priority is getting sanctions removed off syria, some are still going to be there until the end of the year and maybe it takes a couple more years.

From the Syrian perspective, they just have to keep their head down and rebuild as fast as possible, and avoid a conflict, because the long term trajectory favors them. Israel from its perspective is itching for a fight and would rather have a fight sooner rather than later, while it still has the advantage. They have thus far failed in isolating Syria and stopped those sanctions from being lifted. If Syria can keep that momentum, the Syrians would likely be on more favorable terms long term.

Well - if nothing is done in relation to this attack either by the USA, or Türkiye then it will become normalised for Israel to do all the time, very soon.

They are trying to bait a response. Rather than Hitting back, I think there needs to be a different way to counter. Maybe start doing air patrols over Northern Syria and deploying Air Defense systems.

Israel just drew a from red line in the sand.

Quite a firm line at that.

No Turkish bases in Syria, period.

And I don’t see Turkiye challenging Israel on that line in Syria. No clandestine bases or formal bases will be allowed and Turkiye should accept that reality.

Syria will at most be allowed an armed milita for local security and that will be it, I don’t see Israel allowing anything more than that being allowed to develop in Syria.
