I suspect this will not stay only in the EU, but will expand to Turkey, makes me suspicious of incidents that have occurred recently with fires at Defense firms.

Why would Russia sabotage stuff in Turkey ? Most likely it is Israel.

Because Russia is an enemy of Turkiye.

Russia for decades supported PKK terrorism against Turkiye. They've generally always operated in ways to undermine Turkiye and supported all of Turkiye's enemies.

So while both sides will do business with each other including laying Russian oil and gas pipelines into Turkiye, in pretty much every operational theatre they are on opposite sides.

In the caucuses The Turks sided with Azerbaijan, while the Russians sided with Armenia.

In Libya the Turks supported the internationally recognised government while the Russians supported the warlord Haftar.

In Syria the Russians supported Assad while the Turks supported the people.

In Ukraine Turkiye was on the side of Ukraine for a long time arming them even before the Invasion took place.

To understand geopolitics you need to understand the nuance. Next to no media will educate you on the nuance, it just give you a basic black and white analysis which is nearly always wrong.
