I just had to listen to one old school friend I met after a long time belch out the same tired old pro-fauji arguments....they are mukhlis, they are less corrupt, they were forced to take power to save country from corrupt politicians, PTI is responsible for the terrorism in KP/Baluchistan not fauj, Bhutto/Mujeeb are responsible for East Pakistan not fauj....if you want Fauj to leave governance improve yourself backwaas backwaas backwaas.

The hybrid system won't work. I think there needs to be a deal between the Fauj and the civvies. Let the Fauj do a martial law and run things untrammeled for a 10-15 years period. If it works well, let them rule for ever. Else the Fauj goes back to the barracks and let the civvies rule without hindrance.

Bhai sahab this martial law experiments have been tried and failed many times in the past. Same with hybrid system. Only solution is to follow the Constitution and let the system evolve politically.

While in principle, I agree with you the Fauj won't leave power unless it is either defeated militarily (not possible any more) or becomes completely discredited because of administrative failure.
