Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Yeah, but to show us the chart of Iranian Rial devluation, he doesn't need to cite anybody. All he needs to do is check Iranian websites or channels on Telegram.
yeah, but these reformist statements are helpful for their agenda. you would not see US government officials ever make similar admissions of weakness.

unfortunately, Iranian hardliners are out of touch with reality and incompetent and write cheques they cannot cash, and reformists are naive and weak.

And Israeli media and politicians are way worse than reformists about whining how terrible something is. How many times did Israeli politicians or media complain with doom and gloom headlines that naive users of this board quoted as “proof” the Resistance was winning in Gaza and Northern Israel? and what really happened in the end in those wars?

The difference is the enemy uses the media to advance his propaganda and psychops Iran, while Iran uses the media as a truth serum to air our dirty laundry.

Both hardliners and reformists are the same coin. Both don’t seriously want to confront America and want to enrich themselves. The only difference is the degree of religious zeal and domestic repression.

It’s like saying Democrats and Republicans are truly different. No they aren’t, on many issues they are very similar. There differences once again come to religion and liberal thinking.

Iran’s current system is a failed system, reformists recognize that and just want the system to collapse like the Soviet Union did and someone to rise up and seek Detente with the West and rebuild Iran while being a post war Germany or Japan (non military power).

Conservatives want to keep iran isolated from the West until the West decides to treat them equals and offer them the red carpet (LOL!). They don’t want to have strategic ties to any country (Russia or China even) and want to enrich themselves via their web of networks that rely on sanctions busting to make profit.

Comrades, don't give up. Lets focus on strait of hormuz and what iran can do in this situation . It needs to find the solution
These "Comrades" would be more than happy for Iran to capitulate to Israel and become a "normal" country like the UAE!

It is a natural response to the hardliners that as you said are out of touch with reality. Just remember how the conservatives in Iran talked before the war.

The truth is that the reformists are pro-West and the conservatives are pro-East. None of them are pro-Iran.

Qalibaf bet his political fortune on MoU. He personally went to Islamabad and spent 6+ hours trying to negotiate with JD Vance becoming the first Iranian politician to directly engage a U.S. vice president in decades.

The issue is MoU flopped and now Qalibaf looks naive and unserious as a playmaker in the eyes of others in the Republic since Mojtaba and IRGC were skeptical of this whole deal.

So his only hope is to revive the MoU and implement it to show he was right all along. Or else he will face the same fate in the system as Rouhani and Zarif after JCPOA failed in its objectives for Iran, now they are deflated and writing OP-EDs in western journalism.
Is this administration just incompetent or was this the plan though? Burn the moderates so you end up with hardliners.

If you look at this war from the Israeli POV (the only POV that makes some kind of diabolical sense to me), the nuclear genie is out of the bag. The Iranians have the knowledge base, academic and research institutions and enough industrial infrastructure to build a bomb if they choose to. Israel’s existential paranoia simply cannot live with that.

So, it has to be ‘regime change’ of some kind - either to a completely new regime, that is beholden to and controlled by the West, OR what happened to Gaddafi’s Libya. Nothing else will assuage Israel’s existential paranoia, and they definitely would prefer the latter (Libya) option. Maintaining puppet regimes tends to become messy, expensive and complicated.
Yes it's a long war but what is Iran waiting for exactly? They keep saying it's an escalation and they're going to hit back hard and then hit back hard and then hit back hard
Personally, I see this as bigger than just Iran - this is a broader war that will be won or lost in the US and European elections.
