I hope our rocket force will unleash some serious firepower this time. India will avoid air fight this time rather will rely more on drones, missile firing or upmost SOWs from distance. If things escalates, than there will be a clash at sea as well.

And, the PAF can always cross into Bharat to do a USAF on them. By the by, Delhi is within a couple of hundreds miles off the borders.....

India will confront PAF. We cant just assume that IAF will not be used. It would be odd. Its not first time their airforce lost jets. We need to calculate all possibilities. Ofcourse our armed forces knows this. Just making this clear that it will be surprising if they dont use IAF.

Not really - I mean its a big missile - still a missile. Likely assumed as a BM heading out. Would be surprised that PAF knew what it was and where it was going and chose to engage it for that

Yes. It was perceived as a BM. Indians were doing pretty weird stuff launching S400 missiles in the dark. There was no PAF asset over dinga or further deep into our airspace in that direction at that time. We have actually released original radar tracks.

Total 4 missiles were launched at around 0030-0040 hrs on 8th May. 03 terminated at Amritsar by themselves. 01 crossed into our airspace and nuetralized over Dinga.

Yes. It was perceived as a BM. Indians were doing pretty weird stuff launching S400 missiles in the dark. There was no PAF asset over dinga or further deep into our airspace in that direction at that time. We have actually released original radar tracks.

Total 4 missiles were launched at around 0030-0040 hrs on 8th May. 03 terminated at Amritsar by themselves. 01 crossed into our airspace and nuetralized over Dinga.

Unfortunately(for them) this is where their own lack of netting might be in play where S-400s were going at ghost targets and they were terminating after realizing what was up.

1. It was taken at face value because Pakistan had called off its next vectors for employment precisely because Indians agreed to. So this was them being dishonorable but since that call off was coordinated by your friends and allies - you chose the “higher”(read fait accompli) ground and not retaliate to this.

2. Yes, but the hangar was in use and Saab dispersed on and off - reportedly someone missed the memo that said to move the Saab away from there just in case. Pretty sure heads have rolled - just not publicly.

3. All procedures are follow but since you stated pattern tracking the Indians made a good educated guess there - and tie it to my answer in 2.

The AM is exaggerating what happened regarding dive down to run. The Indians launched a LOT of S-400s well outside their engagement envelope against other PAF assets that defended against it. The Saab did do various maneuvers along its race track to adjust against multiple threats while still maintaining coverage but no “dive down” etc that I have heard of.
What is likely is that they got beam on momentarily and fired while other assets were also trying to find gaps to push against targets - then fired against PAF aircraft and in true Indian fashion claimed a fire as a kill.

Considering these are the people who have the tail of a Mig-21FL painted as a Pakistani aircraft standing as gate guard for their base - I would not make much of the IAF officer claims.

Why would they launch A LOT OF S-400s?

Did they not know how to engage? Seems more like they had no idea what they were doing and were counting on launching mass barrages in hope to get something and yet still couldn't bag anything of value.

Would love to know what feelings were going on inside their AD and Combat controllers minds......

Considering the number of assets from both sides in the air - evident confusion caused by EW - and (this is hyperbole from my end) - grounding of IAF air assets post PL-15 shock - the S-400 became a lynchpin(which it was not intended to be) and they were asked to do “everything” which led to serious consternation on the operators there.

Keep this in mind - doesn’t mean everyone in the S-400 team had no idea - it just takes one operator just like it took one Spyder operator for fratricidal results.

The 4 missiles could also be standard launch pattern set by the operator - could also be they picked up targets due to whatever weather/EW combination phenomena and terminating them (to avoid collateral- good job on them) once they realized their mistake

So they really couldn't employ their best Rafales and MKIs in AA role..........and they couldn't employ their best S-400s in AD role....while throwing out their ACE cards Brahmos and SCALP in desperation and providing Pakistan valuable data on real time performance........

As for generating the "ghost" images, ASELSAN KORALs have been doin' it for ages. As for the Bharatis, they have an utmost "fetish" for staffs that are created out of nothing.......

The Indians have been crying about this non stop. After Mecca pact, this has really triggered the Indians.

Actually they did same harkat on 10th May (interestingly at same midnight time) -- Again amritsar / lahore area -- and subsequently after more than an hour they launched attacks on PAF bases -- so i wouldn't say it was just random error on 8th

Probably. We didn't launch any interceptor over amritsar. I don't know if they intercepted their own missiles or did a self-destruct - i believe it was self destruction.
