Bangladesh Keen To Join Saudi-Pak-Turkey Defence Alliance, Says PM's Top Aide

The best Ace pilots of PAF were Bengali .
Bangladesh joining any military alliance will be great.

What VPN ? What various IPs?

And are we back to the same old tired discussion that since this is a Pakistani owned forum and our POV differs from your's, we should not post here?

If that's what you want, please ban all Indian participation, once and for all and we shall never post again.

For we shall never kiss your ass, like all these other nationalities do here.

However if you want to counter, then my counter my posts with logic and common sense.
Why should we ban - you have nonsensical BS most of the time and come here to troll.
Yet come here again and again.
The fact that you need a ban otherwise will CONTINUE to come to express your opinion for a people for whom you express nothing but disdain... seems rather ironic where you say you dont want to kiss my ass but yet need the "validation" to express your opinion here regardless?

So which is it? Do you care about my ass that much that you must log in here and only a ban will prevent you or you secretly do want some sort of egoistic validation by posting against Pakistanis as part of your core existence?

Americans have a history running away from their defeats , Vietnam Iraq Afghanistan and now Iran …. 🤡

I am glad you brought this up.

Let's start with Afghanistan.

For 20 long years Pakistan played a double game with Americans in Afghanistan, you took American money but at the same time sheltered and protected Afghan Taliban at times selectively handing over Taliban comanders to Americans at your own discretion and likes or dislikes.

There after Americans reached an agreement with the Taliban after lengthy negotiations.

Now Americans are gone from Afghanistan, Taliban are in control. However the very same Taliban who were protected and sheltered by Pakistan are one your worst enemies.

While Americans secretly give billions of dollar of financial aid to Afghanistan every year that keeps the Taliban machinery running.

What do you think, happened there?

Vietnam :

For 20 years Americans fought to keep communist of North Vietnam from taking over the South Vietnam, but South Vietnam fell after the Americans left.

Huge victory for the communist block right?

Soon after the Americans left, there was a falling out between the communist brothers( who had supported and supplied Vietnam for 20 long years) and one communist brother invaded the other.

Now the united Vietnam is less communist than any communist block country anywhere.

Iraq:

What about Iraq? Americans achieved all their objectives in Iraq, which was basically a regime change in Iraq.

I have been coming here for almost 20 years now, even before you were here Santro.

It's not about ego. Its about learning from each other and about each-other, hopefully you too have learnt something.

Yes you are right US and Israel have conceded defeat against Iran and now want to hand over the reins of middle east to Pakistan and walk into the sunset and all because Asim Munir is Trumps favorite field marshal and Pakistan claims to have defeated India in 4 days.

Who knows, going forward instead of byung oil in petro dollar, the world will start trading in petro PKR.

Please continue with your little pact.

Saaaar Pakijtan completely irrelevant saaar. Pakijtan in rear mirror of Hindujtan.

Sure thing Hindutva.

He claims this as if PDF is his house. So much obsession and hate. I am glad we teach these ugly Hindutva a lesson every hour of the day. Yet they come more after each humiliation. The joke is on them.

In my first post on this thread, I have explained that defence pacts amongst countries that do not share common enemies, do not last and the reason for that.

There are numerous examples of these like SEATO, CENTO, Baghdad pact etc. and ironically Pakistan(and by extension Bangladesh) has been a part of all these defence pacts.
Failure is a piller of success. No?
These pacts never helped Pakistan or any its other members an ounce and were eventually dissolved.
Question should be, did those failed pacts harmed their members or not.
Please remember "Those who cannot remember their past are condemned to repeat it".
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That is why it's called present.---Master Oogway

A pact can only be useful or harmful if you act on it.

Otherwise its just a useless peace of paper.

As history is witness, countries with divergent intrests do not honor them over their own interests.

That's what lead them to fail.

So your whole epic monologue on this thread is that you hope the pact fails. Ok, got it. Please do live in hope. No skin off my back.

Nope ..If we had to hope.

We would hope that you would be foolish enough to act on this pact and end up with some powerful enemies perhaps Iran, perhaps Israel, or even the US itself.

What does Bangladesh bring to the table?
Its called cannon fodder or cheap lives for a stupid cause.

Besides all this, for India an openly aggressive bangladesh in a defence pact with Pakistan will make things so easy.

Pakistan should stop this. Bangladesh is a complete basket case when it comes to military matters and defense procurements. 20-30 years, and they have yet to fully commit to buying just a dozen jets for their airforce.

Bangladesh will be hangers on - and the door should be shut on them until they meet minimal standards for the size of their armed forces, budget allocation for defense procurements on a sustained basis etc...

In fact, there should be no further expansion of the pact until the founding members fix the core design issues of the pact. ie lack of spare military capability and commitments to the pact in terms of capability and funding levels, etc.
That makes zero sense.
Your argument seems extremely redundant, perhaps something is missing in your logic.

You do realise Bangladesh has been living in the Indian shadow since their second independence. It is literally the first time the state, society and the political/military class combined have decided a Bangladesh first approach. Previously it was half hearted, led by certain sections, this time it seems like even the Awami League will have to align with the nation first approach or it will become like the Congress party in India.

They need friends to step forward, they require space in which to ensure their new direction does not fail, that space can only be provided by other Muslim countries, especially countries like Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia, I would include Indonesia and Malaysia but they're busy with their own things for the time being, so let them be.

By including Bangladesh, we can help them become the very thing you say they lack. Without our combined help, two things will happen.
Either they will fail on this journey of genuine independence. You lose.
Or, they will take longer to reach the goals you aspire for them. it may take them 20 to 30 years, with help that timeframe can be shortened massively.
In the process of shortening that timeframe, we renew our bonds, surely that can only be a good thing.

I think we have forgotten that the torch of Muslim nationalism is South Asia was first lit in East Bengal, Muslim cultural identity has always existed, that's a historical fact, theirs even a Urdu speaking Muslim community in Tamil Nadu. But Muslim nationalism is a different thing. it began in the 19th century, it can be argued it began earlier, but let's say 19th century. I recently learnt that in the 19th century the Muslims of Bengal seriously thought about adopting Urdu as their default language. I haven't had the time to finish reading.

The point i am labouring to make is don't discount the Bangladeshi spirit, they have been stupid, there is not other way to describe it, but they're extremely capable. Look at Our United period, think of the names we hear, even today, then realise how many were East Bengalis, that's Bangladeshis.

While you have a valid point, it is extremely shortsighted and ignores historical truths.

One last thing, their military prowess, so to speak, is also influenced by the lack of recruitment by the British. I have the figures, somewhere. In the decades preceding independence of Pakistan there was near zero Bengali, especially Bengali Muslim recruitment into the British Indian army. In 1857, they formed a substantial percentage. If i remember correctly, it was the Bengali soldiers who came to the Punjab to oppress on the behalf of the British lol

Things are never clear cut, so it's good not to create simplistic conclusions. The best thing that could happen is Bangladesh joining this pact, other then Indonesia.

In case you haven't been keeping up, Turkey and Israel relationship is heading towards a conflict soon. It's a matter of when. They already have a nuke threat to their country. They have the NATO nuke umbrella. In case NATO dissolves or Turkey gets kicked out of NATO because of a Turkey Israeli war, they will continue to have a nuclear umbrella because of this defence pact. Alliance with Pakistan is to Turkey's benefit as well.
Does that make pakistan at odds with Israel & eventually will have to threaten nukes against it to save turkey ?

Same Israel which is clearly defended by USA ?

Are you sure Pakistan will commit to this pact (suicide) ?

Honestly - at this stage, Bangladesh needs to re-orient its foreign policy to India, relative to its military capability. It is far more aggressive and "big mouthed" to India than it should be given that Bangladesh has nothing to back that up with. If India invents some "terrorists" that it needs to go after in Bangladesh, then there is not much Bangladesh can do about it.

It maybe the military victory that India needs given their failure in Sindoor, so Bangladesh needs to be careful and wary, very wary infact.

Being attacked or invaded by India is the best thing that could happen to Bangladesh.
For one, it would bring out everyone out of the woodworks, the country will for once and all realise who are the true patriots.
Also, there's a significant section in that country who still live in la la land regarding India, that haze will be lifted overnight.

I keep reading that India will not attack Bangladesh because of blah blah size.
Why would India attack Bangladesh when it can order it what to do what it wants, India has done it previously. A leader of any country negotiates and talks with their counterpart knowing where they stand, especially in raw military power.
If one side has 10 guns, and other side has bows and arrows, the bows and arrows guy knows where he/she stands. They will do the bidding of the other guy.

The core of the matter isn't if or when India attacks, and if that attack would be successful or not. It is purely about having meaningful capabilities to deter and repulse any such attack.
Which is why Switzerland, a country which has not been in a war for centuries, was left alone during two World Wars, spends what's required for it's defence. It has a very capable military because it know, just because it has not been invaded, does not mean it won't be invaded.

Invasion can be actual physical invasion, or it can be invasion of the minds. Why would India invade Bangladesh when it has invaded the Bangladeshi mind.
