‘Not Expecting Neighbours To Do Only What’s In My Interest’: Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar On Bangladesh, Pakistan, China

India is arguably in it's worst diplomatic position for years and Jaiswanker still mouthing off?
China, BD and Pak all hostile to different degrees
Iran shut the door on Chahbar
Saudi and Turks signed a Defence agreement with India's main enemy
US indifferent to Indian concerns on Pakistan and trade
Russia stuck in Ukraine quagmire

It is as if Indian FM and indeed all Indian posters here are living in an alternate reality.

Basically the only real major "Friend" India has now is asking it to pay close to $40 Billion for 114 4th Gen planes.

Never seen Indians so f**ked in last 20 years. Even just 10 years ago they were on very good terms with China, BD as compliant, Pakistan on the backfoot, Quad going strong and airplane manufacturers from all over the world competing at Aero India. Trump doing shows in Texas with Modi, Indian Army CAS visiting Riyadh.

Jaiswanker should have been fired years ago....
Modi is only interested in vanity projects and freebies. He is the type to buy a laptop and say india will soon be AI superpower, or build a ship and cry shipbuilding superpower. When your country is run by clowns, the roof will fall on ur head sooner or later.

Transformation from this to the bottom comment is quite interesting. I don't use AI to understand basic premise of a comment. You are deluded to think EAM is requesting you to empathize.

Asking and acting days are over. He is simply explaining actions India took although some are deemed ruthless or inhumane.
If asking and acting days are over - and I AGREE with you that they are - then why has laser eyes made this complaint that it is PAKISTAN WHO HAS FAILED to EMPATHISE with India's position?

If Hindustan will achieve its objectives through simple force, why even mention Pakistan's refusal to entertain any alternative means of dispute resolution?

Is EAM sahib complaining?

India now has only 0.5% share of world shipbuilding and 3% share of world manufacturing. Yet, somehow they are talking about India going to become world shipbuilding giant and world manufacturing hub that will rival China's 70% share of world shipbuilding and 31% share of world manufacturing. How deluded are they.

Their society is based on lies and scams basically from top to bottom. That's why everyone in the world has indian fatigue and dont want to deal with indians because there is no trust or reliability.

Nobody is claiming that India is already a shipbuilding giant or that it has anything close to China's manufacturing scale today. India's commercial shipbuilding share is indeed below 1%, and that is exactly why India is trying to expand the sector.

But using India's current shipbuilding share to mock the idea of India becoming a major manufacturing or shipbuilding hub is a rather simplistic argument. India already has strong global positions in areas such as pharmaceuticals, IT and telecom services, engineering and business services. For example, India supplies around 20% of the world's generic medicines and has a significant share of global IT and telecom services.

India still has a huge amount of catching up to do, particularly in heavy manufacturing, industrial supply chains and commercial shipbuilding. The question is whether India can significantly increase its global share—not whether India will suddenly overtake China tomorrow.

Lol, they are now talking of becoming a giant in such as world shipbuilding soon. I saw videos on youtube. It is still long way to go to be realistic.

You mean people shouldn't be ambitious?

And no one is saying that India is a shipbuilding giant today. The point is that you need ambition and a long-term vision if you want to become one. A good leader should set ambitious goals, invest in them, and work towards achieving them. If a leader has no ambition or vision for where the country should be 10–20 years from now, then what exactly is the purpose of leadership?

China itself did not become a manufacturing and shipbuilding powerhouse overnight. It had a long-term vision, set ambitious targets, invested heavily, and worked towards them. India is trying to do the same. Whether India succeeds or how far it gets is a different question—but having an ambitious goal is certainly not “delusional.”

There is a difference between realistically ambitious and just boasting without bases. Maybe, Indian style is different, anyways.
That's funny? 2000: China had reached about only 4.7%.

That's the problem with China: if they can achieve something, they think they only can do it.

Not already, but a daydreaming plan as always

Did China in 2000 boasting to be a world shipbuilding superpower soon, no ? 4.7% is still 10 times the size of India's share today, and so is much more realistic. And yes, in 2000, China had more than 10% share of world shipbuilding by market share and order book and now India has only 0.5%.

China never boasted about becoming any hub lol that's the whole point.

Some of these Indians in this thread have consumed too many marvel movies and think they're as witty as tony stark. One just got schooled with an English lesson and has been unable to offer any response to said lesson. You guys either have humiliation fetishes or are delusional. Or both.... likely both.....
