Long Amtrak Train Trip Starting 26 August!

Hard to believe that I've been on this train for 16+ already! Total to NYC is almost 17 hours. But look at leg space! And I didn't even any company next to me. 've been walking through the train between the cars for exercise and for things from the Cafe Car. Once I freshen I up at the Manhattan hotel I'll go to some place nearby to snack on. 1000032461.jpg

About to leave the hotel in NYC and head out somewhere.. maybe explore the new Moynihan Hall at the Penn Station. Incredibly I managed to stay out on the streets past midnight. I thought why not see the city at night while here. It's been 22 years since in NYC. In a few hours a 19 hour train to Chicago begins. Aghhhh!

I have always loved Central Park in NYC. Such an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy city.

Thread already exists. Called "Old Man's Corners".

There's a convenience store right next to my hotel. After checking out I went there to get little stuff for the long train trip ahead. Saw three usual suspects milling around the counter with a pitt bull on leash. That dog was hyper. The guys kept saying "cash" and circling around. Talking to me too. I felt very uncomfortable and just left. WTH! Outside druggies and homeless. Multiple approached me for $. Ambulance picking one off in front of the Penn Station. For sanity sake I came into the station itself. Much better here! Loving it 1000032519.jpg
