Lol, that was the answer Deepseek gave when I asked the general question about trust in China and US. It also gave the opinion of people's perception of goodness in the world by people in the two countries. You are trying to feed Deepseek with the words that wide use of cameras contradict the observed trust in general, and the AI falls for it. A society with wide use of cameras installed doesn't necessarily correlates to low level of trust in the society. New York and London also have wide spread monitoring cameras installed, yet these cities have much higher crime rate than China.

Again the "perception of goodness" means nothing if the facts on the ground thwart efforts to prove it. I can say most people think skiing is cool but if they live in the desert all their lives what does that prove.

People live in cities with many cameras installed on the streets doesn't mean they can't have perception of goodness of the world. The cameras serve many purposes besides preventing crimes such as traffic enforcement, public safety management and emergency response. Do you really believe Americans generally have much better perception of goodness of the world when many Americans believe the current world is going to end soon and Jesus is coming to save human kind in the end ?
