Chengdu J-10 Multirole Fighter Air Craft News & Discussions

Uzbek? why and what for ?

why does Uzbek even need a airforce

anyways who caresits a export order

Uzbekistan has already replaced the Russian weapons system with the Chinese weapons system.

The Uzbekistan military has been equipped with HQ-9B, HQ-12, HQ-7B and Chinese style surveillance radar systems, as well as Chinese style communication encryption systems, WingLoong-2, Carrying SAR synthetic aperture radar, infrared electro-optical pod, electronic countermeasure pod, command cabin system, Chinese training system, and so on. The purchase of J-10CE by Uzbekistan to replace 12 MiG-29 and 24 Su-27 aircraft is just a new piece of the puzzle in building a complete combat system.

There are reports that Uzbekistan will soon obtain the KJ-500E.

btw: Turkmenistan is also replacing Russia's military system with China's military system, and the progress is similar to Uzbekistan's.

Given that Russians are locked in a pro-longed conflict with Ukrainians and the west, the war industry is under visible strain to replenish domestic demand. That's an export negative for Russia, at least for the time the Russia-Ukraine conflict isn't settled.
Secondly, the Russians have been very strange in replenishing their allies. Armenia, for example, have moved away to India and Iran for their needs. Likewise, Azeris are now more oriented towards Turkey, Israel and Pakistan for their military needs. Likewise, it's natural to assume that the Central Asian states like Uzbeks would be looking to diversify away from Russia. And for that reason, i suspect more Chinese inroads into other traditional Russian Markets (Even hardcore ones like Algeria etc.)

Next to the air intake, a bright red "Danger" warning sign is prominently displayed.

This is a typical early style. Now, most countries have switched to black and white. The Uzbek Air Force seems to still prefer the traditional style.

Interestingly, the early J-10 prototypes also followed this style.

Another significant difference is the IFR probe. None of these fighter jets appear to have IFR probes.
According to relevant information, the IFR probe is standard equipment on the J-10CE. Its IFR probe features a quick-release design, allowing for rapid installation or removal.

Good then to replace Russian influence in Central Asia with Chinese influence. Weapons supplies and military connections should the the last but most import piece of the puzzle. China already has strong trade and economic relation with these countries.

Russia is so pre occupied, China is seriously moving into Central Asia and making real long term footprints.

If Russia somehow collapses under Putin, I wouldn't imagine it would be too difficult for China to take back Siberia either but thats only if Russia completely caves in and goes into civil war in the European half. This would give China control of the arctic through siberia. Its just a pipe dream for now but never know what future brings.

I think Russia only possibly will give up Serbia only if the country totally disintegrates peacefully somehow. Let's not get ahead of ourselves on these matters.

The HUD unit is either improved or a new unit. Two AoA sensors beneath the canopy behind nosecone. Beidu and com behind the canopy seem standard CE model fit but formation lights look different.

When did China "own" Siberia? When did China "lose" Siberia ?????
