So I brought this up in another thread but man what do people here think odds that Florida can go to democrats republicans were guaranteed the Cuban vote it’s not guaranteed anymore with the change of rules now Cubans can and will be deported as easily as a Guatemalan or Mexican or etc these guys used to look down on those people but are now in the same boat curious what will happen

Florida going to Democrats is a very very remote possibility at the moment. The best Dems can do in that state is local races and to rebuild the party from the ground up. Florida has gone deep red in the last 20 years.

With regards to Cubans , Guatemalan etc they don't care about the deportations because they have citizenships and engage in hyper-nationalism once in America.

Actually not true anymore for the Cubans they can be deplane many are upset and sorry very few Guatemalans in south Florida have citizenship I’m saying this because I know much of what’s been going on Cubans in south Florida looked down on other people from south and Central America because of the old rules they changed it they can be easily deported as anyone else they are being sent to Mexico or etc but yeah trust me it’s still going to the republicans for the foreseeable future not so surprisingly a lot Israeli “dual” citizens flooding south Florida by the thousands

Until the Cuban Adjustment Act, which has been steadily expanded to give green cards upon arrival to Cubans, is repealed, these Cubans will continue to enjoy huge privileges compared to all other immigrants and continue to look down upon them as well. They will also continue to vote Republican.

If the Dems had any actual balls they would repeal this utterly unfair and failed piece of legislation which rather than free Cuba from Castro, has instead turned Florida into North Cuba.
