Israel signs €3 billion arms export deal with Greece, defence ministry says

My point maybe unpopular take to you. £3 Billion on air defence won’t actually make Greece safer.

U.S and Israel Just has spent +£40 Billion in 6 weeks and still couldn’t stop Iranian Missiles against their bases and Israelis Territory formerly known as Palestine.

Now Imagine, paying 3.5 billion for a proven fail defence system. I smell Greek politicians corruption?
Again you go on with the "failed system" theory...

Iranian missiles clearly landed but Media and military officials keep lying that nothing was HIT. There are literally satellite images of failed Israeli air defence systems.

Back on topic! Turkey can exhaust this air defence system “Achilles Shield” by shooting. decoy missiles to exhaust the “Achilles sheild” before sending a real ones. Can this Achilles shield differentiate a close to real Decoy and the real one? I don’t think so.

I'm not sure what media you consume, but the the media that I've watched showed Israeli buildings after getting hit and search parties looking underneath rubble.

Nothing even close to the damage that Iran said it could do to Israel. So a building here and a building there, but no major damage to Israeli cities like Tel Aviv and their dimona plant..

Whoever believes the Jews. Because we also images oil refineries were hit on fire stopped operations. What ever the chosen people say the opposite is the truth.

Maybe you missed it. When Israeli authorities ordered a complete media blackout and anyone who’s recording anything has to hand it over to their government before it’s allowed to be disseminated to the public, or the world at large .. 😊

As far as I can remember the Jews, which by the way, I don't paint with a broad brush for an entire group of people.

On various news channels they showed the aftermath of missiles hitting buildings.

One thing is for sure, they didn't do any major damage to tel Aviv which is what they said they were going to do many times in the past.

I truly hope Greek people do not support this evil and it's just Greek government

Israel committed dark evil in Gaza. Petrid evil that cannot be forgiven. Nor will anyone who supported them be spared.

We are not going to forget this and the payback will be ten fold

Please Greek people stand against this

This is good. India, UAE, Greece and Israel should team up.

Pakistan, Türkiye and KSA will be doing the very same. This should give the Mecca pact more impetus.
Well, Greek Patriot batteries are currently deployed in defense of Saudi Arabia. I am pretty sure the al Sauds are not going to ask them to leave. They are as happy to pay Greeks for protection as they are Pakistanis or Turks and they are not going to jeopardise their relationship with UAE, India or Israel for the sake of Pakistan either.

Turkiye rules technology with USA in NATO

Turkish SUPER SIMSEK decoy drone can mimic F-16 Fighter Jet forcing enemy SAM batteries to activate their Radars, fire and deplete their expensive missile stockpiles

It is in service and Turkiye can send 100 of them to force Achilles Sheild firing 100 expensive BARAK-MX and DAVID's SLING Mİssiles , even before the actual Turkish Ballistic missile attack

Also , We can use SUPER SIMSEK to employ electronic jamming to reduce the effectiveness of Air Defense Radars

If we dismissed everything as "Jewish propaganda",the Arabs would have won every war,the Jews can't fight for nothing, there's no Israeli State standing,Iran has shot down a gazillion F-35s,Hizbollah retook Al Quds and the only problem troubling the Muslim world right now is Biryani with beef or chicken

Türkiye's missile-guided munition-kamikaze drone production capability is minimum 5 times greater than Israel's air defense missile production capability

Iron beam shoots down Kamikaze UAVs, as well as cruise missiles/guided bombs, GMLRS for several dollars each. Not to mention Kamikaze UAVs with a range more than 100km cost between $30000-100k. And an interceptor UAV cost $2000-2500.

These are technology easy to make. Even Bangladesh started making them.

In a statement, the Greek Defence Ministry said the multi-billion euro purchase was part of "the greatest reform of its armed forces in its history."

Israel's defence ministry said on Monday it had signed a deal with Athens worth approximately €3 billion to set up the "Achilles Shield" aerial defence system for Greece.

"Under the deal, Israel will build Greece a comprehensive, multi-layered air defence array, drawing entirely on Israeli-made systems and on the extensive operational experience Israel's defence establishment has gained during the war," the ministry said in a statement.

"This is the largest defence export deal in the history of Israel-Greece relations and one of the largest in the history of the State of Israel," it added.

The deal was signed by the Israeli defence ministry's director general, Major General Amir Baram and his Greek counterpart, Ioannis Bouras, in Tel Aviv.

A Greek defence ministry source had told the AFP news agency in late July about an upcoming purchase of Israeli-made anti-missile, anti-aircraft and anti-drone systems, part of a broader defence investment for the Achilles Shield of €4.2 billion.

In a statement, the Greek Defence Ministry said the multi-billion euro purchase was part of "the greatest reform of its armed forces in its history."

Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias was quoted in the statement as saying that recent technological developments "have long rendered existing defence doctrines completely obsolete."

"Greece is the first country in the European Union to adopt" a multi-layered air defence system such as the Israeli one, he added.

According to the Israeli Defence Ministry, the export deal includes the David's Sling, Barak MX and SPYDER interception systems, air surveillance radars and "a new national command and control system".

All the equipment is manufactured by Israeli defence contractors Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries and its subsidiary ELTA Systems.

A supplementary €26 million deal was also signed to provide Greece with Rafael's defence systems against drones, the ministry said.

"Israel and Greece share common strategic interests and face shared regional challenges," said Defence Minister Israel Katz, quoted in the statement.

"At a time when actors with hegemonic ambitions are seeking to expand their influence and undermine stability in the region, Israel and Greece will continue to deepen their defence and strategic cooperation," he said, in a likely reference to Turkey.

Greece is now one of only four European NATO members to spend at least 3% of GDP on its military, amid decades of tensions with neighbouring Turkey.

Israel has also increasingly locked horns with Turkey, having struck a disused military base in northwest Syria, claiming it wanted to avert Turkish troops deploying to the facility.

In 2023, Israel signed a deal with Germany to provide the Arrow 3 anti-ballistic missile defence system, which was expanded in December for a total value of $6.5 billion (€5.6 billion), the country's largest-ever military export contract.

Indeed! Iran has launched an unusually large number of ballistic missiles, loitering munitions, and UAVs, but the actual effect is clearly disproportionate to this quantity.

The reasons for this phenomenon are related to Israel's air defense system, but not the only factor. It also includes at least the following very important factors:

1. Iran's own weapons problems. While Iran possesses a large quantity of weapons, their accuracy and explosive power are problematic. Iran itself is aware of this issue, and therefore, they have adopted a mixed-use strategy, employing a large number of "inferior" weapons to deplete Israel's air defenses, while interspersing a small number of high-precision weapons to strike key targets. Therefore, what we see is a large number of weapons flying in, with very limited actual effect. —Military economics dictates that we must balance quantity and quality. Iran has chosen a combination of a large number of cheap, low-quality ballistic missiles and an extremely small number of expensive, high-quality ballistic missiles.

2. Israel's blast resistance ratings. This issue has been almost completely ignored by everyone and the media. Israel's civilian buildings have very high blast resistance ratings, even higher than those of military buildings in many other countries. —Some Chinese construction companies are doing related work in Israel. Their workers have posted videos and technical details on Chinese social media platforms.

K-2 kamikaze Drone carry 2 x additional munitions called AZAK-E5
That means 200 K-2 kamikaze Drones to carry 400 AZAK-E5 munitions for swarm attack , before the actual Turkish kamikaze drone attack

400+200 ... No air defense system concept including IRON BEAM ( with range of max 10 km ) or even the anti-drone systems you're showing, can completely stop an attack of this numbers

Even just 10 of them would be enough to destroy all the targeted air defense systems .. if you intercept even 390 of 400 munitions
1788443997264.png

Also , Hostile Air Defense Batteries will be bussy to intercept orher 1.000 Turkish kamikaze Drones like ALPAGUT , DELI , SIVRISINEK , MIZRAK , KUZGUN , KEMANKES-II , SUPER SIMSEK

also hundreds of long range cost effective guided munitions/Missiles such as TRG-122 , TRG-230 , TRG-300 , GOKTAN , EREN , KUZGUN-TJ , IHA-230 , KEMANKES-I , TOLUN-IIR , SIMSEK , etc

No need even CAKIR , ATMACA-UM , GEZGIN , SOM , J600T , BORA , 300-ER , TAYFUN expensive Cruise and Ballistic Missiles ..... also upcoming hypersonic MRBMs TAYFUN B4 and CENK

If Greece deployed this Achilles Sheild System to islands close to Türkiye ( 30-50-100 km away from Turkish mainland ), destroying them would take less than a day in a war
