2.7 million repatriations mark reached amid slowing repatriations. (As of 29 August 2026)

Don't know whether this is because of political unwillingness in Rawlpindi or we are simply running out of migrants to deport.

Nevertheless, ~1.3-1.7 million pre-2023 (4-4.4 million) migrants remain. + Unknown number of migratns Islamabad has allowed in legally or illegally since October 2023.

2.7 million is 61.3%-67.5% of pre October 2023 population

All the afghans that I knew of have left for Afghanistan. So maybe it is getting difficult for us to find them for deportation.

Keep in mind, if finding illegals and deporting them were that easy, there would be no illegal living in US and EU
