Remember this is a Western led world order and you are playing in their sandbox. They will not destroy their own (Israel) creation.

Protections of International law and Geneva conventions only apply to the white man led colonial powers.

Nothing new, but it should serve as reminder for those that think Israel will lose support on world stage from the powers that run the Imperialist led world order.

It's the zionists controlled world order and western powers are just their pawn pieces. Zionists will destroy the whole of west possibly the whole world before relinquishing their control

Ok that is very possible. Then where is the clip from? They say it’s a lie, but clearly they are in some type of arms depot so it must have been taken from either Syria, Pakistan, Iraq as the ammo boxes are distinctly middle eastern in nature.

It doesn’t excuse the fact that terrorists can do coordinated attacks on multiple towns. This is a bit different than attacking a checkpoint or police outpost in the middle of the “nowhere”. The latter is hard to prevent by any major military force.

I have been an advocate of greater arms and better protection to our soldiers stationed in these hot zones.

Not to mention instead of wasting money doing war games blowing up stuff in the desert. Have rotational deployments of Artesh and IRGC doing security clearing operations in these rural areas. I think that would add far more experience and value to your average soldier then sitting around firing RPGs and artillery at make believe objects in the desert.
You’re really stretching your your unproven charge.

I dont understand why Iran puts so little value to the lives of the senior commanders.

It comes from concept of martyrdom. They simply embrace death if it is their destiny. If you look at many IRGC soldiers or “advisors” deployed in Syria civil war they rarely wear basic body armour. Most of the time the higher ranks are walking around in civilian clothes.

I compare it to motorcycle riders like “Harley riders” who don’t wear helmets or any protective gear and believe in being tough and accepting whatever happens.

It's ridiculous, they learnt nothing from the Soleimani assassination.

I think the more concerning thing is Israel once again was able to gain Intel on the exact meeting point of these individuals.

This isn’t new, there was a previous meeting where IRGC/HZ/SAA officials were meeting and Israel hit the building next to them. That should have served as a warning that there is a mole or traitor in their midst.

So either someone is inadvertently leaking Intel by not following proper protocol (ie mobile phone use) or there is a mole in the inner circle leaking positions to Mossad.

The reason it took so long to find Osama Bin Laden was simply, he used human carriers to move messages around and any carrier had to take the battery out of their cell phone 1-2 miles before coming near his compound in Pakistan.

I doubt IRGC are taking such drastic steps.

How are they planning to maintain the "axis of resistance" when all the experienced seniors who understands how the axis operate are gone? Its almost as if they for some reason are cleaning the ranks.

Eventually you will lose cohesion and capability. But most of those that get eliminated were at the end of their career. The more concerning point is this attack killed multiple successors. It’s one thing to lose 60-80 year old commanders and another thing to lose 35-50 year old experienced commanders being groomed to take their place.

Either way IRGC-Quds force is the most dangerous unit in the IRGC, most get killed on deployment or assassinated even in streets of Tehran. Anyone entering that unit knows the likelihood he sees retirement is slim to none.

Yes. The most important thing is broken securely protocols. Frankly, I find meeting next door in an obvious building as ridiculous and terribly stupid.

This stupidity has now lead an entire country to think about retaliation or not. THAT is what pisses me off the most. These martyrs have written checks they can’t cash.

Security of senior officials is not only to protect their lives. More importantly, it’s about avoiding this exact situation.

THAT is the biggest failure of the IRI not this ridiculous dribble about retaliation.

To many Hollywood movie watchers on here who think nukes can be used haphazardly whenever a country is in the mood.

Even when Israel was at risk of being overrun by the Arabs in the Arab-Israeli wars they didn’t use any nukes. It was hotly debated at the time if they would even use nukes if Arabs broke thru defenses and took control of Jerusalem.

Now suddenly they are going to use nukes in a conventional skirmish against Iran in 2024?

Facts are no country has used nuclear weapons in over 75 years. There is a reason for that.
That was a time when Israelis had some rational actors in their midst. What you have now are a bunch of crazy messianic child murdering death cult members across the board in Israel.

What I know for sure is that if Khomeini was in power instead of the current leadership, this would not have happened and if it did happen, Israel wud be burning right now. Weak leadership....nothing more

In other words, the opponent is cornered and will do anything to survive.

This is obvious and clear—especially to Iranian strategists.

Actually Israel has been this way forever, they just had a military censor in place that was able to block a lot of war crimes by controlling what the media could publish for decades, but the era of social media and internet ended that capability. Now a single person with their phone can show a video to the entire world. This didn’t exist until the last 15 years.

If you want proof just look at the genocide Israeli settlers committed from 1950-1960’s. The people of Gaza are descendants from those victims of genocide when they were forced from their homes and relocated to Jordan, West Bank, and Gaza. Pregnant women had babies torn from their stomachs while alive. Women and children slaughtered in their homes.

The Israeli’s have been committing war crimes since their founding. But there are certain things even the craziest morons wouldn’t do. Kim Jung Un, and Bibi know using nukes is a sure fire way to create an existential crisis for your country.

Once that box opens you immediately legitimatize the use of nuclear weapons for all parties. That’s why any country that uses it will feel the full brunt of the world’s nuclear powers because China, Russia, US, Pakistan, India, England, France…don’t want a precedent to be set that nuclear weapons can be used for whatever haphazard reason a country can think of. That puts everyone at stake in future conflicts.

Even Russia was deterred from using it in Ukraine when they were losing tens of thousands of soldiers. Even when the West actively armed Ukraine with 100B in weapons and gave them the latest satellite Intel they still did not use very low yield nuclear weapons made for use on the battlefield.

Khomeini also kept the Iraq war going after the intial ceasefire proposal against the advice of his inner counsel, which prolonged the war for another 6 years and led to hundreds of thousands of lost lives on the Iranian side only to ceasefire to be signed in the end.

So he wasn’t a master tactician, he just had a nation willing to die for him. That doesn’t exist today. I’d doubt Iran could even be at this positon today if he was still at the helm.

Khamenai while a lot more conservative has more or less built the Iran that exists today. At this point he wants his legacy to be he turned over a latently powerful Iran to his successor(s). He does NOT want it to be that he lost all his gains by poking the Western Empire at the 11th hour.

Wether this strategy is right or wrong is up for the history books to decide. None of us can see that alternative universe where things were done differently.

Remains to be seen if truly “dozens” attacked or not.

The timing is awfully strange almost as if a large money was deposited into their accounts to stage such an attack.

Apparently footage coming out shows fighting is still ongoing but sporadic - Iran should encircle them and fry them!

When Suleimani was killed, it was only a farcical counterattack that went out of its way to notify the U.S. military in advance to avoid casualties.
When over 100 people were killed in the attack, they did nothing to fight back.
They did not fight back when high-ranking military officials were assassinated day after day.
Of course, they did not fight back when many scientists were killed.
Israel finally bombed the embassy because they knew that the Iranian government is always talking.
Of course, this time too, the clerics, with all their bravado, will not act, and the next attack will be even more massive, killing many more Iranians.

If the government of Pakistan supports these terrorists, it is actually helping terrorism against its own country. I think this is unlikely, but I am sure that there are some traitors in the government of Pakistan.

I don't think those in charge care about the soldiers and people they kill, who are expendible in their eyes. As long as their political careers are secure, theyre safe and not sanctioned from the US dollar, then some collatoral damage from these terror groups is the price to pay. Pakistan is an obedient servant of the US and will do whatever it needs to keep it happy, even if it hurts the people financially. Just look at their refusal to go ahead with the pipeline with Iran, despite them knowing and admitting the benefits. They wouldn't want something bad to happen to their over-reliant military if its suppy were to all of a sudden be cut off, right?
